My bf and I have visited the Lobster Cave twice now. The first time we went I was a little overwhelmed by how 'fancy' it felt but once greeted and seated I relaxed...until I saw the prices! When they offered us mineral water, I knew to decline and asked for still. They asked if we would like a garlic bread for starters so we said yes, as we both love garlic bread. When it came out I was amazed. Yes it may be a $20 garlic bread, but it is also an antipasto plate, with olives, feta, goat curd, tapenade and 2 big slabs of garlic harb bread. It is amazing and soo yummy!

For our mains we ordered a platter ($99.90) which stated it was for 1 person, so we also ordered a bowl of chips and an extra serve of salt and pepper calamari. Well, we could have fed 6 people! The seafood platters may be pricey, but come on, this is seafood we are talking about! If you want fresh seafood cooked correctly, you can't expect to pay small prices!

But back to the platters, they could easily feed up to 3 people! That first time we ended up not even touching the chips (I had a couple, they were amazing!) and didn't even touch the extra calamari. The second time we went we had our order downpat, garlic bread antipasto platter for entree, golden catch platter to share for main. We still walk out full, but our hip pocket doesn't hurt so much! lol

Also, the last time we went there, they unexpectedly gave us a free membership (worth $99) which gives us discounts and bday vouchers. It was totally out of the blue! So that was lovely!

If you are looking to go somewhere for a nice night out, or a special occasion, go here. It is worth saving up for.

Went here for breaky yday morning... I ordered poached eggs with hollandaise and my bf the B&E's. My egg was a little undercooked but i don't mind it runny, lucky it was me and not my boyfriend though, the whites were still very gelatinous (maybe needed 30 secs longer). We got mushy's as well which were nice. Overall the meal was good, but it was served on this absolute door stop of rye, which was just way too much, was really doughy and heavy. They just need a normal toast thickness with the bread, not half a loaf. But other than that the coffee was amazing! and the meals came quickly for a busy morning. Will go back again :)

Do not even bother going here! My bf and I went out for a meal last night, specifically looking for nice seafood, and drove past Harba. Having that it is a seafood restaurant I was sure that it should have been a nice experience. But maybe the lack of patronage should have warned me. First off their service was good, they were attentive, but once they had taken our orders, they never came back for follow up drink orders. My bf deliberately put his empty glass to the edge of the table where they could see it as he wanted a refill but they never came over and asked. And there were only 5 tables of people so being busy is no excuse.

Now the food. I was very surprised that there was no prawn dish on the menu, considering it is a seafood restaurant. We both ordered the Salt and Pepper Calamari, bf the main and myself the entree. The meals came out quick enough, but when they were placed in front of us I was stumped to work out where the $10 difference was. The only difference I could find is that bf had an extra wedge of lemon. The plate was like this - a pile of calamari in the middle, very little dipping sauce plopped onto each side of the plate and then a bit of clover on the top.

I had thought that the main would come with chips, but no. When I asked the server what the difference is she said the size. There was no difference in size at all! I had to ask for a side salad (which I just asked for some lettuce on the side, they ended up bringing out this stupid looking clover! What the?), because I wasn't just going to eat the calamari by itself, it needed something to cut through the oiliness of the batter. The calamari in itself wasn't half bad, but nothing I would brag about.

Overall, this was a complete waste of money, don't even bother going there, you'd be better at your local fish and chips shop.

We went there for tea one night, I was really looking forward to having a nice meal as the place looked nice from the outside. I ordered the Chicken Parma, thought not too hard to stuff that one up, well it was completely raw in the middle. I'm not talking a little under done, I mean absolutely raw. I took it back to the kitchen, they didn't offer to cook me anything else, didn't apologise for it, and then tried to charge us for it. I will never go there again and would enver recommend it to anyone else.
