One of my friends recommended this place to me, so I went there with my husband and my mother in-law a few weeks ago. We all had the degustation, with one matching wine to share between my husband and I.

The food were delicious and the presentation were exquisite! The only disappointment was the dessert (a very important course for me!). We had a sticky date creme brûlée which was too sweet. Hence, the score of 8. Otherwise, it would've been 10. The wait stuff were all so polite and attentive. Every encounters came with a smile. I have recommended this restaurant to my friends, colleagues and family.

This is an update from my previous review of 8.3. The food is still delicious, but the portions have shrunk dramatically. My favourites, sashimi delux and chicken karaage were at most, 2/3 of their former size. However, that was not the lowest point of my last visit.

The waiter was uninterested, and was very good at pretending that he doesn't see customers waving their hands in the air for service. He just wanted to clean his tables, very slowly. He is not a new waiter who requires training, bcoz I have seen him working there for the past 3 yrs, at least.

I don't expect exceptional service in a restaurant like Sakae, but I do expect wait stuff to be efficient and polite. My family and I will not be returning.

I've been there twice with my husband. We like The Hunter, so every time we go, we would go to a few nice restaurants, and Chez Pok is one of them. The quality and portion of the food are both very reasonable. I particularly enjoyed their dessert, A night at the movies. It consists of popcorn, truffle chocolate, and honeycomb chocolate. I didn't know that honey comb chocolate can be so nice! A pleasant surprise. Definitely book a table if you're planning to go on public holidays. Wait staff has been pleasant both times.

Beautiful restaurant over looking the vineyards with a group of friendly and welcoming staff. I ordered the quail tortellini as a main and my husband order the steak. I must say, mine was shockingly small. I only got about 7 tortellini altogether and they were just your average sized tortelini. It was delicious, especially the broth in which it came in. However, my husnand's steak was massive! He enjoyed it thoroughly as it was cooked exactly as the way he ordered. We shared a dessert which was also lovely. We will definitely go there for lunch next time we visit the hunter.

I booked 4 weeks ahead for a Saturday night dinner and was not disappointed. It is very rare for me to like all the dishes on a degustation menu, but they came damn close. The only dish that I didn't like was the dessert dish, because it wasn't a chocolate based one (I am a chocolate addiction, so dessert has to be chocolate based). The food was worth all my penny, but the waiter was a bit scary. He seemed snobbish and did not smile once for the 2 hours that we were there. Maybe he had a bad day. The actual restaurant looked really cute, but I vote for more comfy chairs.

WaQu deserves every bit of their above 8 rating. Their degustation menu is ever changing, taking advantage of fresh produce and making it suit the changing seasons. I hope they never take away the soft shell crab taco, because no matter how many times I have it, I don't get sick of it.

The food is always presented beautifully, and the restaurant itself is both spacious and comfortably decorated. Their staff are very polite and accommodating. Would return for their Winter menu soon.

Been there a dozen times now. Must book ahead if it's the weekend. I really like their miso eggplant, all their salads, Their wagu beef on a hot plate. They have a lobster set menu which is delicious and fairly priced. They're also in the entertainment book. This place is great value for money.

Must order: steamed pork dumplings, braised beef noodles and their special salad (it's got tofu, seaweed and bean sprouts etc). Those dumplings are unbeatable. It's the "skin" of the dumpling that keeps the "soup" in the dumpling from escaping. Be prepared to wait for a table, and don't go there expecting a cheap meal, but in my opinion, the waiting time and the price tag are both worth it.

Been there twice and I've concluded that Wagaya (similar restaurant in Chinatown) is by far better than Mizuya. The quality of the food is soso, the portion size, average. There's just nothing that really stands out about this restaurant. The fact that you cannot book ahead doesn't help. You can only book ahead if you want Karaoke as well.

The ambience and the great range of food keeps me returning to the place. Very efficient service and the food arrives quickly after the order is place. Best to book ahead for friday nights and weekend dining, because there's always a long queue.
