Service was great and location was convenient but I'm always weary about tourist spots and I should have stuck with my instincts. I ordered a breakfast which had Bacon, egg, spinach, mushroom, bubble n squeak and beans. It was like the food was out of a Gordon Ramsay nightmare episode. Apart from the beans which couldn't have been messed up as they were out of a can, I'm puzzled to what they did to the spinach and mushrooms to make them taste so bad. They must have been lying in a tray for a week or so in the kitchen.
I challenged the senior staff to eat some and he passed. The senior staff was kind enough to not charge us for the drinks but it didn't fix the problem of me being hungry because I couldn't eat the meal as it wasn't edible. I'm puzzled why senior staffs offer you another meal as the last thing I wanted was another plate of the same food.

Great fresh fantastic toppings on the pizza, creative menu. Unbelievable wine selection! Nice warm casual atmosphere.

My girlfriend and I were told to leave and don't ever come back to my winery ever again by the owner, after finding hair in our food. Coming from Sydney, I've been on the receiving end of bad service plenty of times but this situation took the cake. I've never seen anyone get so wild! We could only laugh when we left because we were so shocked we thought it was a joke.

Have not been to the Wharf Bar for a while due to bad service and overpriced drinks. I went there last night to see if anything has changed. I ordered calamari and chips as a snack. They cooked it in 4 minutes. Chips tasted like raw potato and the calamari was so chewy and stringy and tasted terrible. Told the staff, as always, not interested. Also the table we sat down at was covered with McDonalds wrappers and rubbish. So, if you're after poor service, bad food and like sitting in a mess, the Wharf is the place. Try 4 Pines Brewery across the road, 10/10 for everything.

The greatest food I have ever tasted. I also got to sit were Bono from U2 sat a couple of days before. Spectacular view. If the food cost twice as much it would be worth it.
I have been to so many expensive restaurants in Sydney and have been so disappointed. Thanks to Annie and the other staff for a fantastic evening. It's been 3 months since I went and I'm still raving on about it. Funny carpet but I love it. Great wine too.

Disappointed! Myself and 5 others went to Flying Fish to celebrate a special occasion. Money was no object this night, we just wanted to spoil ourselves.
We started downstairs with a couple of cocktails and nibblies which was fantastic. The view from Flying Fish is fantastic and the they had really done a great job renovating this old wharf. However, we went upstairs and were seated for dinner. Being a seafood restaurant, all but one of us ordered seafood. I like to think that a classy restaurant that specializes in a style of food would come out with some special and different ways of cooking. The food was terrible! It was the most bland tasteless food we had ever eaten.
In fact they had taken some great dishes and ruined them. I only cook 3 times a year and I could have done a better job. You will find better seafood at your local fish and chip store. The only decent dish was the steak. I would rate the food at less than 1/10 if zero was an option. Also.....they do not give you salt and pepper as they say this will ruin the meal, what a joke. If I want pepper I should get it.
Staff. Only they can pour your wine as they look after the bottle. Twice we sat there for 15 minutes waiting for our empty glasses to be filled. When we told staff the food was ordinary, they didn't care or take interest in what they could do to improve. They cleared our table and abandoned us.
For what started out to be a great night turned into an ordinary experience.
Lift your game Flying Fish, sooner or later you'll have to focus on the basics of serving good food. Another example of a Sydney restaurant trying to achieve something it can't back up.

Shocking! They don't take bookings. We got there at 7.30pm and they finally had a table for us at 9pm. The food was terrible, I ordered Garfish, I thought this would be a special as the restaurant is named after it. This tiny bit of fish which was so full of bones it was not edible. It cost $30, came with some chips and no garnish. The most boring meal I've ever seen. I sent it back. By far the worst restaurant ever!

Disappointed is the word!! Once we eventually got served and placed an order, we were told there would be a long wait for food. Why don't they tell you this before the food came. Without a doubt, the smallest portion of food I have ever seen!! It was a $19 main pasta dish. It took less than 2 minutes to eat it. I had to ask them if it was a main. I was so hungry afterwards I had to go to another restaurant to eat a real meal. In total I spent $50 at 2 restaurants to be satisfied. An absolute joke. Lift your game! I won't be going back.

What a great club. Best views in Manly. Very cheap drinks. No table service which is OK. On a nice sunny day, I couldn't think of anything better than an arvo at the Skiff.

Great beer! Good view and nice food. Sat there for 50 mins before they cleared table from previous diners. We ate around the mess. No one served us, I had to get someone to help us.
