This is a pub not a restaurant but of course it does serve food!

I always go to the lord nelson but its always too busy! so I end up here and its a nice traditional pub (perhaps, the oldest in Sydney?!) average beer selection, ok service, good bands, overall good atmosphere bit expensive but that is the norm in the area. I did not try the food.

Own brewery, lovely beer, traditional pub with history, little out the way so not quite as many tourists as the central rocks pubs. Rocks = expensive (I realise their brew their own beer but still Too much).

Brilliant selection of beers (possibly one of the best in Sydney), traditional pub decor because its a little out the way you don't get all the tourists that the pubs down the hill get. Great beer festival and Australia day celebrations
The rocks = very exspensive. The pizzas are a rip off So Small.

Great atmosphere, good selection of beers that changes regularly, alternative newtown vibe, awesome beer garden! pinball room! separate pokies room, great selection of beers, only had the wedges but they were nice.

You walk in to what you might think is a small traditional pub but you walk round the corner and it just keeps going till you reach arguably the best beer garden in Sydney great pub!

Great atmosphere, all welcome, games room with pinball pool airhockey etc. Awesome decor, awesome alternative soundtrack (funk breaks pop indie), best bouncers encountered in Sydney (I was drunk and dancing like an idiot but causing no trouble instead of chucking me out just asked me to have a glass of water or two!)

Great happy hour! ($3.50 for anything!), delicious dumplings! (also at reduced price for happy hour), only 3 beers on tap but at least one is coopers! My current (spring '11) favorite place for a drink in Sydney!

Great selection of beers! Great value jugs ($11 for a quality pale ale!), cool indie soundtrack, unique atmosphere, chilled out crowd, pool table, pinball!
cool little area out back for smoking/drinking.

I didn't have any food. It floats just above being abit of a dive but I loved it unpretentious chilled out studenty bar.

Always a good atmosphere, good selection of beers with new additions every time I visit. Open smoking room at the back plus, small theater upstairs, traditional decor, no thumbing music, friendly bar staff!

As another reviewer mentioned does get busy pre-show, an average malay restaurant (altho I believe that may have changed). Best pub in the kx wooloomooloo potts point area.

No pokies! traditional decor pool table round the back, drink selection is average, couple of Squires, Resch's and the usual suspects.. but its a traditional pub with a good atmosphere.
