We arrived at Amalfi, having booked a table for four. No table was set for us and we had to take a small round table outside on the street. We waited a good half hour to have our order taken, a little longer to have our table set, and the service never really got better. However, the food more than made up for it and I would definitely return.

Always nice. I've been to this bistro a few times. The wine list is extensive. The food is great. I'll keep going.

If you can get a table, it's well worth it. Just don't drink their coffee.

This restaurant could be a fantastic suburban venue but, unfortunately, for me, it just missed the mark. I dined there for lunch and ordered the Wagyu Beef with Yorkshire Pudding, pumpkin fondant and beans, and some bread, along with a glass of wine. Whilst the service was prompt, I felt the waiter should have known more about the wines he was serving and the food that was on offer.
My meal came out promptly and for a dish worth $33 I was left feeling somewhat disappointed. The beans were uncooked. The pudding was overcooked on the top, the pumpkin fondant was, well, just pumpkin and the meat was underdone. The dish also lacked any real flavour. Nothing stood out and I felt a little ripped off.
Finishing my meal, I was given the dessert menu and couldn't believe the prices, the most expensive being a white chocolate dessert for $16.50. I refused and had a coffee instead. Whilst I think this restaurant has a lot going for it, it's far too pricey and lacks the class and sophistication to carry off those prices, particularly given it's suburban location. I would much rather go to one of a dozen city restaurants that offer much more for the same price.

Gusto is a great restaurant in Norwood and well worth visiting. The food is excellent, try the Linguini Granchio with Blue Swimmer Crab and the staff or always very helpful. Oh and the waiters are hot!

The Eurpoean Cafe is one of my favourites on The Parade. The food is always great, the service quality and whilst it does get very noisy at times, the restaurant is welcoming. It can be pricey, but the food is worth it.

For a busy little cafe, Buongiorno is always reliable and consistent. I have been there many times and never had a bad experience. Having said that, there is nothing spectacular about the cafe, but for casual lunch or dinner, it's well priced and the food is good.

Unfortunately, I have to share some of the sentiments of other reviewers and say that this cafe is mediocre at best. I went for breakfast and while the coffee was good, the bacon and eggs were ordinary. My toast was cold, the bacon was so oily I struggled to eat a quarter of it, and the eggs were uncooked. In relation to service, the gentleman behind the bar was fine, but the waitress did not acknowledge us at all. Won't be back in a hurry.

I went to Cafe Palazzo recently and was very disappointed. Not only did I wait one and a half hours for my steak, but when I got it, it was rare at best. I'd asked for medium. The two friends I was with had well and truly finished their meals by the time mine arrived, but we decided we would stay and have dessert. I ordered a coffee and specifically checked to make sure they had lactose free soy.
They assured me they did and a few sips in I realised it was ordinary milk. I went to complain and the senior staff said it was definitely soy milk. Not wanting to push the point, my friends and I left. I won't be back.
