Went to this place after a recommendation by a mate. Initially went with 4 people, ordered 2 rounds of food (yum cha from menu) and it was only 80 dollars!
The food was beautiful and none of it was too heavy to stomach which I find with a lot of the fried stuff that comes with yum cha. Since the first time, we have gone back with larger groups of people every single week. The staff are now quite friendly towards us as we are regulars and always order lots of food. I can't say anything bad about this place.

As soon as we arrived the service was amazing, because the foods we wanted for yum cha were not made yet because it was early they took our orders and made the straight away but felt bad we had no food in between waiting, so they seemed to be a bit anxious about trying to serve us things we didn't want.
But I thought it was nice of them. The food was great, this is my 15th yum cha place around Sydney and some of the things were definitely in my top 6 list. The price was average for 6 dishes it was around 32 dollars but we both had a great time and the chinese tea was the best I had ever tasted, an unusual thing to say but yeh, it was, we had 3 teapots full.

Came here with a group of 11 people on a saturday afternoon for yum cha. It was beautiful food. The salt and pepper calamari was a favourite followed by the bbq pork puffs and the green steamed vege. I also thought the prawn and chive dumplings were beautiful. The soy sauce was unusual though, very thick and strong. Could not use too much of it without losing the flavour of the food.
Found the ordering a bit strange as I am used to the traditional trolley bringing food around yum cha. But at least all the food came to us hot and fresh from the kitchen. The value was great as we had joined to be members of the club therefore getting a sight discount. Between us all it ended up being around 19 dollars each. After getting about 25 or more dishes, this included the jugs of softdrink as well. I was very shocked at how cheap it turned out to be.

I am a regular patient at St Vincents hospital and this restaurant is what I look forward to whenever I have an appointment. I started eating this food when I had major surgery and my parents were sneaking off to eat it every lunch break. I now go there everytime I am in hospital or in the area. Food is authentic and beautiful, full of flavour and lovely tastes. The staff are nice to me and always have a smile.
The value is amazing with their specials at lunch time till 4 pm. The atmosphere is very noisey and busy around lunch time because it is such a small area to eat in but I prefer to take it over to the park opposite vinnies to eat it in peace with my friends.

We are visitors from Sydney, so coming to Melbourne it was great to be able to sample some yum cha in another state. This restaurant was recommended by a friend and was also in the gold section of the Melbourne entertainment book. I have to admit the atmosphere during the day was a bit iffy and made me doubt the food quality. But once the steamed dumplings and steamed pork buns came out my doubts were fast gone.
The food was beautiful and the mango pudding to finish off was one of the best I have tried. The range of food was good and some of the desserts I had never seen before. Because of the gold card we got a 25 percent discount which brought the price down to 25 dollars! great value, great food and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The only thing I'd say is it could be cleaner, I sat down to a dirty bowl and dried up soy sauce bottle.

I have been to around 10 different yum cha restaurants around Sydney and have to say this was one of the most disappointing. The food was only ordinary and for the amount it added up to I wished we had gone to another one around the area. At the end of our yum cha the woman taking our bill was very very rude to my friend, standing right up against her while she got her money out of her purse.
When my friend had trouble getting a coin out the woman yelled at her implying that she was going to rip her off by not giving her the 2 dollars we owed. She practically had her hand in her purse and her face was extremely angry. We felt very uncomfortable. Won't be going back again especially when there are so many nice places in that area of Sydney to eat yum cha in.

Nice atmosphere but the service was slow and tired. Came here for yum cha just me and my friend, the trolleys were few and the variety lacking. When I finally got some of the dishes I love such as steamed dumplings, I was absolutely horrified to find a long black hair wrapped around one of the prawns inside the casing! I did not complain as I am not someone who does often but it put me off desiring to eat in general. First we were seated next to the big tanks of tied up lobsters and while I love seafood we had to ask to be moved because the tanks were very high and it was like eating inside the tank itself. The pricing was good but I would not be going back based simply on the hair inside my dumpling :(

Impressed with the nice atmosphere in the restaurant. The red carpet and ropes are a nice touch when u walk in. Main complaint I have was that after promptly getting a jug of water and tea and soy sauce it took over 20 minutes for a single trolley to come down the middle path of the restaurant. So we were left sitting there for a long time and ignored while the carts turned the other direction and didn't even look at us.
But about the food, when we got some, it was great. The steamed dumplings are very worth the money in quantity and value. I actually got very full on only a couple of servings because they were big. The price was similar to a lot of other yum cha places but in terms of the food it was worth the money. The service just needs to be looked at and the paths of the trolleys maybe figured out a bit better.

A regular eater at this restaurant it never disappoints. Took a while for the wait staff to warm up to me but because I go there alot now, they always smile and serve fast and quickly. The food is amazing, full of flavour and never leaves you feeling sick or nauseas like some chinese restaurants can leave you when you stuff yourself. I always come here with close group of friends or for an occasion. The atmosphere is really nice and professional and I always have a nice night out.
I just hope the prices don't go up any more.

Came here for yum cha. Unfortunately, it was nothing special. The competition that towers hilltop pheonix puts up far outweighs the terrace. The service was really good, wait staff were nice and attentive but the yum cha food was very disappointing. There was next to no selection and the food that was given was nothing to rave about.
It is a real shame because I feel like it could be better and I want to say something nicer and more positive, but I just can't think of anything in the yum cha department. I think I should go and try just their normal food one day to see how that is. But in terms of yum cha, won't be eating there again.
