Went to Parea after reading the reviews on here. We ordered the banquet menu for 4 people. The food I must say was very nice, everything was done to perfection, now if I was to nit-pick and find fault I would say 2 things. The Greek Salad Does Not have lettuce, I really wish places would stop putting lettuce in their Greek Salads, I know its a cheap space filler but its not authentic. The pit roast lamb is of the yeeros variety but still very tasty. If they fix that up I would have scored them a 10 with the food.
The service was outstanding. The wait staff was prompt and consistent and this was on a very busy Saturday night, yet they never stuffed up our order and everything came to the table quickly including drink top ups and so on.
The place is loud but happy, the fact there are always people there should speak volumes, not a place for a quiet dinner but the atmosphere is good.
Pretty much on par with other Greek restaurants in terms of price. Overall a enjoyable experience, will be going back.

We decided to try this restaurant after my wife had bought a "jumponit" voucher. Like many others on here the service was terrible from the very start. My wife rang to make a booking and Sylvia treated her with nothing but attitude. Anyway, we decided to go ahead, the voucher entitles you to a seafood platter for 2 and a bottle of wine to the value of $28.
The wine list does not have a bottle Under $28 so you still have to pay the difference with the bottle you choose. (nice little scam you have there). Anyway, we ordered an entree after the waiter informed us that the seafood platter would not fill us up. I was a little shocked. Every time we have had a seafood platter at other places and there have been many, we could not even finish the seafood platter as it was plentiful with a lot of variety and of good quality. None of which this one had.
When the platter came both my wife and I had to hold back our laughter (disappointed) I could have eaten this platter "for 2" on my own. 1 piece of fish which was average, a couple of potatoes, some fried squid, 3 prawns and something that was again deep fried that apparantly resembled crab. The taste was Ok but nothing special at all.
We finished off our meal and we didn't want to stay any longer. The bills came and luckily I checked it but they overcharged us (was this some way to make up for the voucher?). When we purchased the voucher we thought if they are good, we would come back being fairly local without the need for vouchers etc. But the attitude and average food ensured we won't be back. Not recommended at all.

It was a night of contrasts. Lovely people, friendly and courteous, yet once we were seated we must have been sitting down for at least 15 minutes before a menu or waitress even approached us to ask if we would like drinks or menus. There has been a few comments on here that state they have a set menu, yet we were never offered one. Not sure if they have discontinued it or the waitress forgot.
When we did order, our entrees came out at a reasonable time but 1.5 hours later out came our mains. At the very least someone should have approached us and explained the delay and we would not have minded so much. We were seated next to really loud and annoying table of 15+ which we had to yell when speaking to be heard, but I am sure if that table was not there the ambience would have been quite nice.
The menu although is Greek I would not call it authentic, lots of the food is served with rice which is just a plate filler and not very creative and does not do the rest of the food justice. The souvlaki was overcooked and tough although the other dishes served were quite nice. I highly recommend the meatballs in the tomato salsa though.
The greek salad was disappointing, when will people learn that a proper greek salad does not have lettuce in it, and is a cheats version of filling up the salad bowl because lettuce is cheaper than the other vegetables used. Overall a good night, as they are lovely people and when they did get it right it was good. Have I eaten better Greek food? Yes, but we may give it another go and see how it goes.

We've been here 5 or 6 times now and have not had one bad experience. Their food is fantastic, whether you order the Pasta or Pizza. All your dining is outdoors so if dining at night bring a jacket as it can get a bit cool, they have the big heaters there for Winter so that helps. Their service is very good also. It took a while to bring out our entrees but at least they told us it would be a while when we ordered so we knew what to expect. Nice and modern look and feel, BYO (wine only) is also nice. Overall a good experience and would definitely go back for some good Italian food.

The Thai food here is fantastic. Just be aware there are 2 Terrigal Thai restaurants. Terrigal Thai #1 you will find in the little shopping plaza a little older decor inside. Terrigal Thai #2 (where we dined) is on the main street. I think they are both run by the same people. We didn't have a booking but the staff did their best to seat us even though they were fully booked.
We ordered the Calamari Thai Salad, the Chicken with Cashew nuts and Chilli and Basil pork in addition to a couple of entrees. All the food we had was absolutely delicious, the staff was very friendly. Inside it is modern and comfortable, although if you're seeking a romantic dinner for 2, its not the place to eat as it can get a bit noisy.
Would definitely return to eat at this restaurant the next time we visit Terrigal. But I would advise those who wish to dine here to book first

Just like some others who have reviewed this restaurant, we too were also referred to Sapa by the Crowne Plaza. The staff were friendly and prompt, the food although was nice, I wouldn't call it exceptional. Its a nice quiet place with modern decor. I thought the prices were reasonable also. The food gets brought out fast, not long after we finished our entrees our mains were upon us. Depending what you prefer that can be seen as either a good thing or a bad thing. If visiting Terrigal again we may not run back to this place but we would consider going back if we felt like Vietnamese food.

The food was nice, although I wouldn't say it was fantastic. Definitely overpriced. Not a large menu to pick from. The place is nice and cosy, and a good place if you want something quiet. Service was good, but they were not that busy so I would of been surprised if they couldn't cope with the amount of customers at the time we were there.

Decided to try Stapletons after it was recommended to us. We were very full and satisfied when we left. Their steaks are beautifully well cooked and very tender. Their House specialty steak (aged prime rib) is what I tried and I must say it is something I will definitely go back for.
Could do with some more side dishes or options to accompany your steak but still no complaints. Its a nice "homely" looking place so the decor is nothing to write home about but its still a friendly and comfortable environment to relax and enjoy without feeling rushed. Good value also. Will definitely be going back.

From the moment we walked in the service was very friendly and very attentive. We ordered the Seafood platter for 2 and to say we were absolutely stuffed would be an understatement. Plenty of food and good variety and it also tasted very fresh. There is not a large menu though which is the only thing I could fault this restaurant.
The views are fantastic which probably explains why it is a little more expensive (not hugely though) than your other standard seafood restaurants. If you want to treat your partner to a special occasion it is something to consider. I would definitely go back if my previous experience was anything to go by.

In regards to Indian food, this has to be the best I have ever had. A group of us ordered a variety of dishes which included Pistachio chicken, Butter Chicken, Beef Vindaloo and 5 spice Prawn just to name a few. The food was fresh and very tasty. The service excellent, with it being prompt and attentive without it being intrusive. Good atmosphere whether you want to go in a group or just as a couple, it's a little small and I recommend you book first. Good value for money as well. Will definitely be going back.
