Enjoyed a relaxed lunch in the courtyard on a fine Spring day.

My partner raved over the goat's cheese tart served with baby beetroot and asparagus. In particular the pastry was perfectly prepared without a hint of sogginess.

My chicken schnitzel with home-made coleslaw might not sound like much but I can honestly say it was the exemplar of its kind. The chicken was moist and tender, the coating crisp but not burned, and the coleslaw was excellent and balanced, instead of being drowned in dressing.

Staff were friendly and efficient and prices are reasonable, especially given the quality.
