Not sure if he's still working there, but there was a very rude staff taking orders and looking after the cashier. Since that awful service, I'd never want to go back.

This place was shocking. As Ginko Girl said, don't walk into any places with 'barkers' luring customers at the door, especially on Dixon St Haymarket. If the restaurant serves good quality food and service, you wouldn't need to have someone standing at the door and begging passerby to dine in.
3 of us ordered 4 dishes (3 main + 1 dumpling dish) and three drinks...all came up to $120. I still have no idea how it all could be $120 with the meals we had. It wasn't even a banquet course meal though.
Food was awful. Any food didn't look same as the photos in the menu. Also, it wasn't hot and spicy at all unlike real Sichuan food is meant to be. The whole food was just oily, which made us feel sick afterwards.
In the end we all felt ripped off and it wasn't a pleasant experience at all.

The senior staff picked me on for bringing personal food into the club. It was not obvious at all like bringing burgers from Hungry Jacks or so. It was only left-over food that I'd always have to stick to the strict diet due to my allergy reaction to certain ingredients. Plus, mates with me already ordered their meal at the club's restaurant and waiting for it.
We would always hang out at the club, and spend money on drinks, food, and pokie at times. Also we've been members of the club.
If they'd whinge about bringing something personal (eg. food), they should not allow people to bring their baby's food (incl. milk), BYO, etc.
Or I'm not sure if they'd be ready to properly respond and repair the damage where I'd get sick after having their food because of my allergy reaction. It was very unreasonable to pick me on and humiliate me for such trivial thing.

Best Thai place ever in Sydney: I had take-away for tom yum soup and cashew nut stir-fry with beef.
You'd barely get same taste as sit-in from take-away. However, this is the place where you can taste exactly same flavour from take-away as if you eat in, I could assume, fresh vegetables were cooked crunchy and their combination with sauce was really juicy and entertaining to chew bite by bite.
The soup was divine as well, prawns were not overcooked and I really enjoyed the aroma and its taste. I'll definitely come again. Thank you.

I had very lovely pasta for lunch today while my friends enjoyed BLT and steak sandwich. What a lovely place on the corner! Coffee was absolutely great and very friendly service was well received. I definitely want to come again. Thank you.

Are you serious to give average 7 to this restaurant? I had a dinner on Monday, it was really awful. My friend ordered a set menu with a series of small dishes. I could tell some were overcooked. There was tempura dish as well, but it was only fried (like KFC fried chicken), not in a way of Japanese tempura dish. How disappointing!
I ordered teriyaki chicken don, but they served stir-fried chicken with rice in teriyaki sauce. Have you seen bok choy in Japanese teriyaki chicken dish? Even the vege was undercooked though. Outrageous. And I was shocked when the boy was carrying ice-cream dessert with his own hands, not on the tray.
In a while, I heard them speaking Chinese in the kitchen. Then everything becomes understandable why they served stir-fried menu. Don't be fooled by the name and outlook. You're having Chinese food in so-called Japanese restaurant. They're not genuine Japanese dish at all.

Have consistency on menu and price unless the decent barista should be there! outrageous! I had a take-away iced coffee last week and the barista was so kind to show how he'd make my coffee with a large paper-cup and ask me whether I'd like cream on the top. And he charged $3.80.
Today, with that good impression, I went again for iced coffee. The barista today (he was not the one that served me last week) was unbelievably outrageous. When I asked, he answered straightaway 'we don't make take-away iced coffee'.
Then, I explained that I had the one last week and they made me the take-away one with a paper-cup. (Should I instruct the barista which cup he should use for take-away coffee?) Then, he asked one of his colleague to make and I could have the coffee anyway with heaps of cream on the top, paying $4.00.
So what is the exact price of coffee? Are the menu and the price supposed to depend on the barista of the day? And please, show some respect to customers, meanwhile, one waitress standing next to me stepped on my feet that was wearing thongs. It was such an unpleasant morning.
