A new restaurant and very busy, perhaps, to the fact it is new. We found the restaurant very noisy they have tried to pack too many people into a confined space resulting in wait servers and patrons finding it difficult to access. Food was good except that we had to wait and watch our meal sit under a warmer waiting for a waiter to collect and serve us.

We also had to ask what had happened to our desserts. A very limited menu as well as the very limited and expensive (for the wine on offer) wine list. We were told BYO was not available on Friday and Saturday nights. In summary: an average Italain restaurant better served to Pizzas. There are a lot better Italian restaurants on the Northern beaches to choose from.

Every now and then you can be lucky. Last Sunday we were out looking for garden pots and ended up at the Dural Garden Centre. Not only did we find the garden pots we wanted but enjoyed a lovely lunch. Wildpear Cafe was a pleasant experience, not only a peaceful and comfortable venue, the service was excellent and combined with great food and coffee and all reasonably priced. I would highly recommend a visit.

What can you say about a restaurant that has been under the same ownership for as long as I can remember. This restaurant continues to produce a very high standard of service, quality of food at a reasonable price. This establishment has raised the bar in Chinese cuisine. I highly recommend this restaurant whether you are a couple enjoying an evening meal or a family outing. You cannot go wrong with this choice.

What a marketing experience!! We were guided to this restaurant by the reviews that appeared on this web site. One thing we overlooked was the fact that of the 12 reviews only one had reviewed more than one restaurant. Yes the concept is interesting the service was good the two waiters were well trained. Yes the tastings were interesting and Carl knows his trade.

However, if you want to spend $232.00+ for two people, an evening of "tasting" is the venue for you. We were there on a Saturday night with only four people in the restaurant. If you decide to experience the delights of this restaurant I suggest you have a meal either before or after your visit. Our summary, a once only visit.

A very pleasant venue. Good food well presented if there was a critisism service was a bit slow but acceptable.

Initially we found the service and food acceptable both lunch and evening meals. Our latest experiences have not been acceptable. When I booked I was told it was NOT BYO on Friday and Saturday nights only to find when we arrived other patrons brought wines and beers. Service was very poor, waitress was to busy socializing with friends at another table and actually had to be told by I assume the manager to concentrate on her job. Our entree was acceptable, however, the mains were served with cold vegetables. Disappointed.

I have had breakfasts, lunches and dinners here and cannot fault Cafe Willow. My only regret is trying to get a table during the lunch hour and they have closed the restaurant during the winter for dinners Friday and Saturday nights. Cannot wait for next summer when they reopen.
