We eat a lot of Japanese and this has to be close to one of the worst! Went for lunch and had their $20 rolls x3. They were over sauced with Korean chilli sauce and had spanish onion on them!

Will never go there again and will tell everyone I know how bad the service was. How bad the food was. How long it took and the insult to the Japanese this place is. The Ambience is Ok but the rest of it is a very sad excuse for Japanese.

OMG This place rocks! Can still taste the wagyu beef pho. My wife and I have had Viet food all over the world and this place is right up there. Everything we had was among the best we've had. Really loved it. Really rich deep flavors and fresh, you can taste the freshness. Don't know why I am writing the review because its hard enough to get a booking as it is. You won't be disappointed.

Ate there after a recommendation and glad we did...."trust the chef" was a worthwhile thing to do with the wagyu braesola the highlight, good hearty pub food and a welcome addition to the overpriced wanky pub scene in Balmain, loved it and will go back.

Shame about the price, the food was good if small, really need to sharpen their pencil for Balmain as there are so many other good Japanese places within walking distance that are cheaper and more generous.

The coffee is really good, will walk from my commercial coffee machine equipped house for the coffee. The food.....well lets just say it's not as good as the coffee. I love the way the guys remember what you ordered last time and know the regulars. They have done well in a short time and the place is packed on weekends so don't go then unless you really enjoy mediocre experiences.

For value this place is amazing, will drive from Balmain for the pasta and salads. I don't think it tries to be sophisticated and is loved by the regulars, just try getting a table on the weekends!

Ladies and Gents. This is without a word of a lie the best place to get pizza that I have tried. Always fresh the antipasta is fabulous, the pizza is on another level than anything I've tried before. Been there on numerous occasions and service can suffer during busy times but it is forgiven as the food is made with care and with the freshest stuff, in fact don't go there because I don't want anyone else to know about it

The food is overpriced for what you get. Service is great but hey you pay for it because the food is nothing to write about despite the range.
