Just had the set valentines day menu and was really disappointed with it. Neither myself or my husband enjoyed any part of it. Not worth the $70 per person price tag.

Do yourself a favour and don't bother with this restaurant. The service was terrible and the food poor for the prices they charge. $38 for a small steak with cold mash potato. $29 for veal involtini which consisted of 3 small pieces of flavourless meat on a bed of rocket.

We were ignored by the Maitre D' and senior staff when we arrived, they seemed to be too busy fighting among themselves to bother with customers. Never again.

Dined in Vanitas on Australia Day and was extremely impressed with the food, service and ambience. Having dined at Aria and Tetsuyas in Sydney I would rate my experience at Vanitas as up there with them but without the hefty price tag. Highly recommended it to anyone looking for fine dining on the Gold coast.

Dined here on Saturday night and have to say it was one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Even though the place was packed the service did not suffer. Excellent food and value for money. The only criticism was that they had ran out of a couple of dishes and sides. Would definitely return.

We have been to Angelo's many times over the years and it has always been great food and service. Our visit last night however was not quite up to scratch. The menu was disappointing, it didn't have the flair it used to have. Both entrees and mains were cold and really salty. The service was good, the waiter offered us a replacement main as the confit of duck was not enjoyable. We declined the offer and were not charged for the dish which was appreciated. Not sure if we will return.
