Myself and 3 girlfriends in the city last Saturday night - hungry and in need of a few more drinks. Small Bar was only about half full and we settled on the lounges downstairs. We pretty much had the whole area to ourselves all night, waited on by a very friendly and accommodating bar tender. 3 bottles of wine and many plates of food later we stumbled out very happy and only $55 each including tip. We will be back!

My husband and I went here to experience their epicurious menu last night. Our evening was pretty much perfect. First we settled at the Blu Bar where they came and found us once our table was ready. A window table with the Best view. They catered for my gluten-free request, changed the air con temperature on request, and basically looked after us perfectly.

The food and matching wines were all absolutely delicious! If I wasn't so full and rather drunk I could have eaten it all again. We would highly recommend Altitude for a special night out.

Tried their new grill bar a couple of weeks back. My husbands paella smelled so fishy it was off-putting as well as being luke warm. The parmesan on my chicken caesar had brown dried bits on the edge. Other than that it was generous in size. But we will never be back.

Had a fabulous dinner here with 3 girlfriends on saturday night. Enjoyed all the savoury dishes we ordered. Service was great and we all left full at $30 a head. The only disappointment was the dessert, 3 servings of deep fried icecream were ordered. Not sure why they call it that when it is actually a scoop of icecream rolled in cornflakes, which was confirmed by the waiter when we asked. Other than that it was a great experience, I would go back again.

Stumbled on this place when our preferred choice was full on a busy saturday night. We were seated outside in a tiny courtyard where you could hear every other table's conversation. But the food was great (would recommend the goat curry) and the service excellent. They just need to pump a little music outside to create a bit more atmosphere. The inside looked cosy though, we will book ahead for our next visit.

Great location. Good service. Pity about the food. It's not cheap but we didn't expect that, it would be an expensive location. But my husbands large prawn pizza had 6 prawns and the rest of the topping was just as sparse. My pumpkin and spinach salad with chicken was all spinach with 6 small cubes of pumpkin and 5 bite sized pieces of chicken. Loved sitting in the sun watching Sydney harbour but would never go back to this restaurant again.

I have been here for drinks on a friday and saturday night and both times had fun. Last night a girlfriend and I went for dinner. The service was excellent and the upstairs had such a great atmosphere with frank sinatra playing and the cool decor. The food was great too, all round a fabulous evening. Walking back downstairs to leave the vibe changed somewhat, a lot louder and crammed. We are already planning our next visit, back to the upstairs dining room.

We ordered delivery. It arrived sooner than expected and tasted great but man alive what a rip off. My mixed seafood stir fry had 3 prawns. full stop. No other seafood at $16.50 that was 5 bucks per prawn and $1.50 of onion and snow peas. the container was half full. My husbands dish was much the same in size and generosity with the meat. Never again.

Only been here for the coffee and it is bluddy good coffee. But they never fill the takeaway cup so I always leave feeling a little ripped off. Just another centimetre more guys and I will feel I am getting my 4 bucks worth. Also, preferred the cane chairs to the stools. although that might be a ploy to generate more turnover. Not a sit in the sun and read the paper venue anymore.

Nice coffee but almost cold and I had asked for an extra hot one. Nice friendly service and a good little spot. Not sure if I will be back though. Self-professed coffee snob.
