Ordered lunch special for 9.20 padthai (which is relatively $$ for lunch special), asked for more beansprouts and less noodle, I got lots and lots of gluggy noodle and too much fried garlic, and maybe 4-5 pieces of chicken. Ambience seems good. Food at dine in looks a bit better.

Its pricey but I guess the dumplings are really made to perfection, like artwork. Until this place, I have never eaten taiwanese style dumplings in Australia with such thin smooth skin before and juicy but all intact (no rupture) when served.
We had to share tables though.

3.50 for regular size coffee? that's woollahra price! otherwise all goo, although for an upmarket cafe with high quality deli produce, I am surprise the stock the usual bobpete muffins which are usually really sweet and dense, theres nothing better than a cafe with fresh in-house made muffins daily (like the grumpy baker or sofias ikn erko).

Best cupcakes in Sydney, not as rich as sparkle, and not as dry as cupcake bakery, not as sweet as renee cupcakes and the perfect amount of icing. You can taste real flavours, and not much colouring either. My favourite is strawberry, didn't realise they had a shop in alexendria too, now I don't have to go to bondi if I am craving! The only minus is not having any sitting space in bondi as you are not meant to sit at the chairs owned by donut shop.

This place definitely has a lot of loyal patrons. Great coffee, sometimes line too long but pretty efficient staff. The old dude (one of the owners) who stocks the fridge each day is really pleasant. Some of the other waitstaff can be a little quirky. Daily muffins also quite tasty, never too sweet or too greasy

Great value, you pay for what you get. HUGE servings and quick service, waitresses always polite and friendly. Always a winner for a cheap easy lunch.
Re-reviewed today: went on a busy lunch weekday-food quality has declined. Pad thai was extremely sweet and saucy-not the way I've ever had pad thai here or in Thailand!!! It felt even starchier as there was hardly any vegies, although I had requested more bean sprouts. I might try one of the $6.50 places next time.

The view is great. Although heated, we found it a little chilly. Service was variable, our waiter was really attentive but the mait're d on that day would not score well for manners. One of us had the special of the day-lamb racks with chorizo and lentils, which was described so beautifully, but was a little bland tasting. Barramundi pie is highly recommended, just don't remind yourself it costs 30 dollars!
Dessert was good. However, by the time the tea/coffee came, we had devoured most of the dessert. We were surprised as it doesn't take long to make a cuppa when most tables are still on mains! Overall, probably slightly overrated for such a renowned restaurant but it's great for a romantic night out.

We drove up from eastern suburbs one weekend, in search for a good "har mee". Usually go to To's on Saturday but wanted to try Alice's this time, so we could buy their famous kuih as well. Prawn mee was absolutely disgusting, tasted like it came from a packet, it had very weak prawn flavour. For 9$ I had a very small serving, I'm not a big eater but an hour later ended up stopping for some chicken nuggets and Maccas! My husband enjoyed his hokkien mee (fried egg noodle in black sauce). Their kuihs (kuih talam) are heavenly though.

We have tried many sushi bars and this is by far the best sushi bar in Sydney. It's very fresh. Hand rolls are amazing. Waiters/waitresses were always polite. Long wait though but at least they heated area and seats outside.

Great food. Not as much variety as your standard Korean fare. Would definitely recommend bbq-ed marinated beef on bone and the spicy tofu soup. Sitting outside is an option if you don't want to smell like a walking BBQ. BBQ squid is very very spicy, only for the truly seasoned chilli eater!
