I went with a big group of friends for a birthday dinner. We hadn't made a booking, but they were able to accomodate us all.

We ordered tons of food, and it worked out at about $20 a head which was pretty amazing considering how much we all ate. The dumplings were yummy, but their meals in the hot stone bowls were the best. Very nice with some of the chili paste added. The pancakes were also nice.

The staff were very friendly and attentive. My only complaint would be that the outdoors area possibly needs a second outdoor heater. I would definitely go back!

Response from Management:
Thanks ikkyg!

You and your friends were all lovely. Thank you for the kind words which mean a lot to us considering everyone in your group had visited Korea before. We hope the food reminded you of good times had there.
Hopefully the next time you visit we'll have our license and be able to offer you soju and Makgeolli as well :D

Haha, apologies about the lack of heaters! This weather lately has been crazy and we almost got rid of all of them but decided to hold onto that last one. Lucky we did, since there was no soju on offer to warm you up!

Hope to see you all again soon.

Dong dong isn't ambitious by any means. But, it certainly sets out to achieve things. And achieve it does. With the plethora of Asian eateries on Anzac Pde, a modest noodle house must stand out in order to keep its customers faithful. And faithful we are.

No one can fault the value that Dong Dong offers: generous portions, free tea and super fast service. Everything Anzac Pde cuisine should aspire to.

The food was very delicious, all the dishes our table ordered were tasty and fresh. No complaints at all about the food!

The service did leave a bit to be desired. While attending you the staff were friendly, however they were difficult to get the attention of, waiting around out back and out of sight making it difficult to flag them down. Sometimes things we asked for were forgotten about.

The decor was a little boring and nothing special. If you are going there, go for the food and the reasonable prices, both of which make it worth going to. I would go back again, and hopefully their staff will be more attentive next time!

I found myself quite disappointed by Missy Foxalls. I arrived there and there were no tables. It turns out the upstairs dining area is no longer in use, so people without tables are crammed into the small bar area and have their names written down on a list. By my count, I saw anywhere between 5-10 names there while sitting at the bar waiting to be seated. There were lots of people who had to stand while waiting, including one woman who looked to be very pregnant. I thought the staff should have bumped her up the list to save her standing, but they didn't. The bartender did give my boyfriend and I some free chips and salsa.

When we were finally seated, I found it to be quite uncomfortable - there was no air conditioning and the evening was a rather hot one. The decor was nice - quirky and unusual. The food was a mixed fair coming out somewhere just above average. The nachos was good. The ranch wings and mini tacos were a little bit bland and felt like they were missing something. The sangria was well priced and enjoyable, although somewhat watered down compared to others I have tasted and liked more. If the food was better, I would say the prices were reasonable, however seeing as my mother can cook better Mexican, I'd say its a bit overpriced. Probably wouldn't go back there.

I went here for Valentines Day and had a very enjoyable evening. There was a set menu (which it would have been nice if they had mentioned on the phone when I was booking!). The downside of the set menu was that we were fed more than we would have ordered if left to our own devices - the premium one pays for coming on Valentines Day, I suppose.

Of course, being stuffed full of tapas was hardly a chore. The food was delicious and full of flavour. Not a single dish we picked off the set menu was bad- I enjoyed them all thoroughly.

The service was very good, with waiters being very attentive to keeping our glasses full and ensuring we were enjoying our meal. The food came out very quickly - less than 15 minutes after ordering.

The ambience seemed quite good, the outdoor area in particular is nice. There was music playing but it was unobtrusive for conversation while still providing some atmosphere. My boyfriend thought it had been chosen well.

Did not try the cocktails, but did very much enjoy the "mega jug" of Sangria ordered =P Would definitely go back again with friends!
