We had a disappointing lunch service at Pink Salt. A group of us booked for lunch (in a near empty restaurant) and struggled to get enough drink service for our large table (even though we ordered the premium beverage package). Requests for water and sparkling water went unfulfilled, which was very uncomfortable given the awnings were down out the front where we were seated, again requests for them to be lifted were initially ignored.

The food at Pink Salt was satisfactory, although the desserts were underwhelming on the whole. While we still had a great time, the service left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, I do not think any of us would return.

A bit more expensive than other places along liverpool road, but great ambience, it was packed on sunday night. Great service and the food was awesome.

Bread and dips to start were terrible. The bread was lovely, but a tasteless bean dip did nothing to excite, along with the chunk of cheddar and 2 cherry tomatoes cut in half, boring, for the price of $18!

Mains were better. Smallish portions for the price, but good flavours. Salted rosemary chicken went over well, also the pumpkin ravioli but left hungry.
Most of the service was great and attentive.

The food was great, would have loved some veggies with my main though (dukka crusted spatchcock and garlic potatos) but the entres were all great. The ravioli was amazing!

Service was great - bordering on toooo nice, but really friendly. Love the set-up with all the candles and the smell of apple tobacco wafting in from outside. Was a bit chilly with the big window open - would be better in the warmer months.

I had hyped up the deg at Alio and I was left disappointed overall. When the sorbet is the highlight of the meal you have to be concerned! Pumpkin soup and grisini with parmesan to start was lovely. Gravlax was mostly tomato and red onion and the risotto (which was not exciting in the least) was served in a dollop on a flat large dinner plate, with the following lamb rack served in a deep bowl/plate - very hard to eat. Presentation of those middle dishes was not exciting or well though out.

I was really excited about going but the food didn't live up to standard. As I mentioned the coconut and lime sorbet was the standout - creamy and not too sweet. Really refreshed the palate, maybe should have been brought out between the 3 seafood dishes in a row, before the meat.

Service was wonderful - all waitstaff were great, although a bit inconsistent when bringing dishes out (some announced the whole dish, others just presented the plates and left) but was wonderful all in all. Service between courses was a little too slow.

Loved firefly. Came here recently with a group of 6. The waiters were all lovely and very attentive. Drinks are a little exxy - I realise it's a wine bar, but hard to swallow when the cheapest bottle is $45! We had the $38 banquet and I rolled out of there. It was all delish!

Edit review: Ordered takeaway and was told it would be there within the hour. At the one hour mark, I called and was told the driver left half an hour ago and he should be there shortly.

Called again at 1:20 minutes and was told the drive was 2 minutes away. I asked for a discount, but was told they could offer me a complimentary naan next time I order. We received the food after almost 1:30 minutes and it was cold. No apology at all from the driver.

Not impressed Surjits. For $32 for two curries and rice I won't be bothering with you again. Because as nice as your butter chicken is, it taste horrible when it's cold!

Old review: Ordered takeaway last nite (hence, mid score for ambience) and wow it was great. Super speedy, they quoted an hour wait, but I'm sure it only took 30 minutes to arrive. Great value. Guy who delivered was lovely and polite with a big smile on his face. Best butter chicken I've had in a while, slighty smokey flavour with generous amounts of actually chicken. Really enjoyed the naan's too. 4 dishes, 4 rice and 4 naan's for only $75. Great value.

Had a lovely breakfast here. Good coffee and service. Prices were a little exxy (more expensive than a Sydney breakfast) but tasty. We had the breaky bruschetta with bacon, poached eggs and avocado. I would have preferred the balsamic reduction drizzled on the dish rather than around the plate, purely to add to the flavour. Nice big juice glasses as well - yumyum.

Ate here last night and was so impressed. I had the angus fillet for main and it was simply divine. Cooked to perfection with a beef tortellini and marrow jus.
Accompanied with truffle potato pureedelish. Although having asked for a side of beans for the whole table, getting only one bowl was a bit lacking.

Not sure if I was sitting too far back from the table, but everytime the waitress was in between me and my fellow diner I felt like she was really pushing in between us. The male waiter was a little curt, but very attentive. The restaurant was empty when we arrived at 6:30, but during the evening a few other tables arrived and it was a lovely atmosphere, very cosy decor, perfect for a cold wintry night.

Great range and value for money menu. The owners are really lovely and quick to ensure you're served and happy.

One-pot breaky hit the spot, perfectly cooked eggs and bacon with a really nice sourdough - a bit difficult to eat at first, but you manage.

Not a whole lot of room, so not great for groups, but really lovely. Can't wait to try some of the take home dinners!
