Had dinner here on a Saturday and we really enjoyed the cured king salmon for starters.

The mains was very nice as well. We ordered the beef tenderloin and the suzuki mulloway fillet. The beef was cooked nicely, it was tender and tasty, the fish was a bit bland, however, and, unfortunately, we found a fish scale. Guess that can't be avoided, it didn't spoil our night anyway.

For dessert we had the white chocolate cheesecake. This was the highlight of the night. It's definitely worth trying, as it's not the traditional cheesecake you'd expect.

The service here was very good, staff were very attentive and always made sure our water glasses were full. We'll definitely come back and try the other dishes.

Dear hungrybug,

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on your Bistro Bruno experience. I'm pleased you enjoyed the majority of your dishes and found our service worthy of comment but I am sorry you found the Suzuki Mulloway bland. I have brought your comments to the attention of the chef. We look forward to having you in the restaurant again soon, perhaps to try our new "beefed up" menu.

Kind regards,

Ordered the degustation menu as we weren't sure what dish to try. The food was quite bland and it wasn't as nice as we have thought it would be. The service was good, unfortunately, the food wasn't.

Ate here recently on a weeknight and found the food to be quite tasty. We requested that the food not to be too spicy and chefs were happy to accommodate for that.

Definitely recommend the braised pork belly, it was very tender and soft, we also had the lotus and chicken cashew. However, some negatives of this restaurant is that in the food, I found a piece of broken plastic container. Also be prepared for super oily foods.

The ambience is very old and worn out. It wouldn't be a place I'd go to for special occasions.

Went there on a Saturday and it was full of people, so glad I booked before hand. We had the veal ragu and bone marrow and the spaghetti with barramundi. Both dishes were delicious, will definitely go back to try out the other dishes.

The service was prompt and friendly. However, the lighting is a bit lacking here. You kind of struggle to see what you are eating. Besides that, the experience was very enjoyable.

This place is definitely good value for money. Went there for a Friday night dinner and it didn't disappoint. The sashimi was very fresh and we ordered a bit much as we didn't expect the serving to be so big. I would definitely go back and will be bringing my friends to introduce them to this great restaurant.

Went there on a Saturday night, luckily we booked ahead as the restaurant was fully booked out which is always a good sign. The food was very fresh, we ordered the samurai 7 containing 7 types of sashimi simple in flavor highlighting the freshness of the raw fish.

The decor is simple with a modern touch, the background music was a bit loud to our liking. The service is very attentive but not intrusive. Overall an enjoyable dining experience and definitely be back.

Ate at this restaurant on a Saturday and the massaman beef curry was tasty, however the beef was a bit tough, it wasn't tender at all. We also ordered the tamarind sauce with duck, this dish was a bit too sweet for my liking. However the service was commendable, the staff always made sure we were attended to.

Response from Management:
Hi, Hungrybug,

Thank you for your review and feedback on the dishes. I will pass on your compliments to our waiting staff.

The Massaman Beef curry is a stew dish, and the chef cooks it the first thing when she starts, so the beef should be really soft. I will double check with her. The Tamarind Duck is a sweet and sour dish, as the tamarind sauce itself is quite sour/sweet, and we also use palm sugar. Most people like this dish because of the sweet/sour/tangy taste.

I will ask the staff to reiterate to customers when they order this dish that it is quite sweet. (I am not a big fan of sweet dish myself ;-).

Thank you for your feedback and please try some other dishes when you come next time.

Cheers,
Atom

Tried this place on a Friday, we managed to get a booking. However, if you didn't get one the turn around time is pretty quick. Don't have high expectations on the decore, the sashimi was fresh, the chef actually cuts the sashimi in front of you. The soft shelled crab sushi was good but not the best. Overall a very pleasant dining experience and we will definitely come back again.

Decided to try this restaurant and the food was great. However, this place is packed. Seems like there is always a line. They definitely need more space and tables.

Wanted to try the sushi, but there is a 20 minutes wait due to the huge amount of people eating there. We were too hungry to wait that long, so ordered something else, well at least we know the sushi is made fresh. Will definitely go back for the delicious food.
