Food is tasty and simple, but it makes up for lack of refinement for being so cheap! The handmade noodles definitely a highlight. Springrolls have too much bean noodle and the pastry lacks the delicacy needed for the dish to really sing. Again the shallot pancakes are too thick and deep fried. The real thing should be a lot less gluggy and thick. Salads generally good as are the dumplings!
Service is harried as there aren't enough waitresses on, but that is why they can charge $10/main. They do a good job covering the tables considering.

This is great Penang style food and a family favourite. Some dishes are better than others but the char kuay teow is the best in Sydney, we sometimes end up ordering multiple plates of it! Worth a visit for that alone. The achar is good as is the lor bak. Looking forward to trying the hokkien char next time, and the popiah if it is available.
