I agree with the previous comments. The food is superb and the service and ambience faultless. However, I still have a problem with the cost of nouvelle cuisine. Why is it that I'm expected to pay $42 for a small thin steak without batting an eye?

Went to this place with my husband and 2 friends on Friday night. I found the food beautifully cooked, what there was of it. Everyone's meal was superb except for, perhaps, the $40 cheese platter.

Supposedly 6 types of cheeses where only 5 tiny wedges came out, every cheese not weighing more than 30gr each, not a bad profit for 180grams of cheese. I asked what happened to the 6th cheese and was told they ran out of the 6th cheese type. Well kitchen staff, do you need to be told to place any other wedge on the plate? Can't you tell we're still hungry.

As good as the food was, not likely to come back as overrated prices (particularly for a pub venue) and toddler portions do not equal good value.

I bought an Ouffer voucher and thought the whole deal good value. True, it wasn't a platter in a true sense but it was rather very well cooked. The only negative for me was that the fish, although cooked to perfection, was farmed Basa, which I really don't like. The place is really more of a cafe than a restaurant and would be better suited to open for lunches. I enjoyed their coffee and crepes very much and found them quite cheap.

Part of the 7 course menu consisted of chicken pie and a lamb dish. Really didn't like either - the chicken being bland & dry and the lamb had too much soaked bread in the dish. The rest of the courses were delicious mezes but which consisted of 1 piece of pastry or other serve only per person so was a bit of a scab for what we paid. The desert was very ordinary too. Really no value for money and I got massive heartburn for the whole night. Another off my list place.

Excellent service, however, extremely pricey for very average food. 2 entrees and 2 mains plus a glass of wine cost us $155. The rabbit ragu I ordered was ordinary and rather dry and stodgy. My husband had a crumbed cutlet and I had osso buco with risotto for mains. Both were $35 each, the osso buco was a ladle of risotto with a marrow bone, had to pay $10 for a tiny plate of green beans to go with it as there was no veg or salad included. Won't be going back as very little value for money.

Nothing special about it, but fairly decent food. The san choy bows are a little on the stingy side and the service was sketchy - although quite fast. The waitress/owner could occasionally smile, she looked like a crankpot the whole time we were there.

This place should concentrate on being a breakfast/lunch cafe and not worry about dinners. For starters, they don't have the room or decent sized tables. My companions and I found the quality of the food well below par - the fillet being a tough piece of meat that you would expect at the pub's $5 special, and the barramundi, a thick unappetising piece of fish (which I couldn't eat). Too bad really, as the cooking was OK, just came unstuck with the inferior ingredients. Not a place I would revisit for dinner.

I bought a deal for this place and was somewhat disappointed. Many years ago I came here and it was great, this time round I thought it average. The fusion of the food does not quite hit the mark and the servings are quite small, the supposedly 5 course meal was a soup, 2 scallops and a surf and turf style plate for 2 with 2 small steaks and 2 small fillets of fish with chips. The dessert was just a small bit of pastry. Not such a great deal really.

Really great pizzas, every morsel a treat. However, the pasta is another story, undercooked with hardly any sauce and for the price, one ladleful is really miserable.
