Made a booking and went with two other people. Hadn't been before and thought we would give it a go. Restaurant was small and pokey, and as is started to fill up, quickly became quite stuffy.
It took about 20 min to be offered drinks after we were seated, so we ordered our food quickly as we had a feeling there would be a wait. We were right. Entrees were fast, and quite nice. However, mains took about 45 minutes. We ordered three dishes, however, we had finished two before the other one arrived.
We had to remind them of the last dish which was obviously forgotten. It arrived about 10 minutes after the waitress was reminded and was smouldering hot. It was full of black charcoal and tasted very burnt obviously from a wok that had been too hot to rush our order.
While sitting there I noticed that we weren't the only table to have extremely slow service. Most tables had dishes arriving very slowly. Don't most people want all the dishes in the middle of the table to be eaten together? After a very long drawn out meal in a loud and over crowded restaurant with poor service and very average food, we won't be returning.

A group of us went for a birthday dinner recently. Started out ok as the atmosphere was fun and the sangria was delicious. However, it became very noisy and it was difficult to hold a conversation.
As for the food, it was terrible. I don't think you can really stuff up Mexican as everything is covered in melted cheese, salsa and sour cream. Not here... My quesadillas was bland and had hardly any chicken and not sure about any cheese at all inside. The whole thing lacked flavour which would have been solved with some salsa.
Everyone in our group made the same comments, food is screaming out for flavour eg salsa!

Went last night for dinner with my mum. We found the restaurant pretty much like a shipping container. It was cold, silent (no music!) and very much lacking any atmosphere. There are no decorations and the wall we sat against was grubby and needed a paint.
The taste of the food was ok but it was cold. We ordered the Massaman curry and the inside of the potato was fridge cold. The taste, however, of the two dishes that we ordered was pretty nice but nothing special. Also wanted to mention we ordered a serving of curry puffs to share for entree and when they were placed on the table we were astounded to see only two! Apart from the above, the service was quite good, but won't be going back.

My family used to go the Rhinedorf about 15 years ago, and last night we decided to go and see if it was still good food. It was stepping into a time warp - menu still the same, decor the same, and the food still as fantastic as ever. Yes the restaurant is looking a little tired and the meals are not presented piled up in the centre of the plate with fancy garnishes, it is was it is - homely, tasty comfort food. There was also a great atmosphere once it started to fill up. German music, steins served at the bar and plenty of big groups laughing and having a great time. Perfect food for the winter.

A friend and I went last night for dinner. We met early and arrived at the restaurant at about 5.30 pm. We got a table straight away. We ordered the salmon fillets in panang curry sauce, paw paw salad, pork belly and a salad with prawns on the top served in a banana flower leaf. It was amazing! Really tasty. Especially the salmon and the pork which I was a bit nervous about when my friend ordered it.
Service was attentive and fast. Only bad thing (like everyone else has mentioned) were the tables. Ours was right near the door, and was about as big as a bed side table. But the food made up for it, and after ordering 4 dishes, the bill came to about $62. We were more than happy to overlook the size of the table.

Went here last week for a Christmas party. I have to say I'm not the biggest steak fan but when my sirloin arrived it was delicious and I enjoyed every mouthful. However, sauces and vegetables were extra, and the chips that came with it were basic McCains chips. Could be slightly more fancy for the price.

Ate there last night for my birthday. We ordered rice paper rolls and fish cakes for entree, and massaman curry, tamarind prawns and paw paw salad for main. Plenty for the two of us, and very tasty and authentic. Our bill came to $120 with no drinks and although we thoroughly enjoyed the food, I expected slightly better. Ambience and decor lovely, as were the wait staff. We have been to the more casual Spice I am in Surry Hills and I think I would be going back there before I head to the up market one. But on the whole, a lovely night.

I went there for breakfast with my mum last week. We both ordered coffee which was one of the best coffees I've had, but glass too small! I ordered the scrambled eggs which were delicious and mum had the coconut bread which we both agreed had no coconut flavour and too much cinnamon. Over all we had a good experience, but too loud.

Took my mum there after seeing a show at Lyric Theatre. We ordered fresh spring rolls to start which were ok. Mum ordered crispy chicken with egg noodles which was below par. Noodles were all stuck together and lacked flavour. I had the beef pho which I regularly eat in Cabramatta and Chinatown. It had no flavour, and beef (two types in there) was fatty. Waiter helpful, but overpriced! Will not be returning.

Went there last night (a Wednesday night) with friends from over seas. I chose it knowing that other people have said it was noisy but, I didn't think it was too bad. We had a beautiful dinner, and we have all eaten alot (and I mean alot) of Thai food, here and around the world.
We ordered 3 entree, 4 mains with rice for everyone. The boys also bought a few beers with them so we were charged corkage. Our bill was only $105 which we were all really surprise at. We will definitely go back, and would recommend it to people who like tasty, well priced food.
