We enjoyed a wonderful dinner here while staying at the Palazzo versace...infact, I would say the meal here was better than the one at Vanita's ...their fine dining restaurant. We started with the Antipasto seafood selection for two and at $42 it was still good value for money....there were three tiers of wonderful seafood and Italian treats.

Hubby had Duck with pasta and I had osso bucco. Dessert was to die for.....they make the best Creme Brulee I have ever eaten. The view of the waterfront was really nice, the bar is excellent. I think the prices are very good for the high standard of food and service they offer at Vie....can't wait to return.

We dined here while staying at the Palazzo versace for our 4th anniversary and had a wonderful evening. We decided to skip entree's and just concentrate on the mains...we had a large buffet breakfast so didn't want to over do it. Hubby had seen the menu ahead of time and was committed to the Wagu, I opted for the snapper. While we were enjoying our predinner drinks, the waiter offered us appertiser of tempura trout...it was melt in your mouth yummy.

As for the mains they were beautifully presented and perfectly cook. The wagu was a larger serving than Hubby expected. We never intended to have dessert but when we gave the menu a glance, we couldn't resist the Banana Souffle', so as not to be greedy we shared it and it was divine. Water was not free and quite pricey but other than that the whole meal was perfect.

The only thing that is odd about this fine dining restaurant is that the hotel pool is your view from the windows and yes at 9 pm, a guest had a swim, now if he had been young and yummy, I would have enjoyed the free look, lets just say I was glad I had eaten, oh, he wasn't that bad, its just something you don't need to see while dining. Will go there again when next in town.

Went here on a Thursday night, as it was just across the road from the Meriton where we were staying, the staff are very friendly and we had no problem being seated without reservation. It was quite busy for a Thursday, they even had a hens party there. The live music added to atmosphere and it was very enjoyable.

I had some tapas, garlic prawns, Spanish sausage and potatoes with a salad and it was very tasty and I had plenty to share. My guest had the fillet steak and it was huge, served on mash with English spinach. We both enjoyed our meals and would have gone back another night but our dinner arrangements had already been planned. When next in Sydney will visit again.

At the last minute we decided to have a family lunch at Bretts Wharf. We had a wonderful dining experience. We had our two year old daughter with us and she was treated perfectly. We ordered a variety of entrees including a few buckets of king prawns. We enjoyed each others entrees and mains. Service was very attentive, drinks were prompt, and I cannot fault our time there at all. The river location is beautiful. We have been to restaurants in Sydney and this is just as good, if not better. We will return soon.

On our second holiday to Sydney I selected Sugaroom as our place to dine before heading to the 8 pm Priscilla show at Star City Casino. I wanted to take my husband and Mother-in-Law somewhere nice and not over the top and Sugaroom is the place for that.

I had emailed our reservation, which they confirmed, but when we arrived at 6 pm they did not have us on the books, this was not an issue as they happily seated us anyway. We sat outside and enjoyed the quiet, relaxing location, we watched a Gondola go by.

The waiter was fantastic, his recommendation for Cab Merlot pleased my husband extremely. We had a main each, Daube of Beef so tender, Glenloth Chicken Breast with a fantastic green pea risotto, Mushroom Ravioli. We shared side dishes of steam vegetables and hand cut chips with aioli between the three of us there was plenty to go around.

We had a excellent night here and the location while away from the tourist spots is well worth the visit. We refer to our night here as the hi-light of our dining while in Sydney and will return again.

As we were staying at the Rydes, we dined at Charr before heading out to a show. Like the Hotel this is a trendy restaurant. I had the King Island steak and Hubby had the Wagyu, perfect on both counts. The meat was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. We had a side order of vegies and for a cost of $80 ( w/o drinks) this indeed was a wonderful dining experience. Would highly recommend. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating.

The view from here is really impressive, looking out towards the Opera house, the harbour etc. I read reviews here before heading to Sydney so knew the score for Doyles. We had just arrived and after walking around and feeling hungry, still on QLD time thought what here will do. This place is huge and the staff were very accommodating. We had our 2 year old and she was a little hyped up from the trip etc. The prawns were divine, truly yummy. I had 2 entrees, king prawns and calamari. I think the prawns were $18 for 5 but perfect!! ( okay we bought 10 king prawns for $4.50 at the fish markets, just as perfect) The calamari was better than at the fish markets and my husband enjoyed his ocean trout main. He had oysters mornay as his entree and found them a little too cheesy. We did enjoy our dining experience here and for approx. $110 it was okay.

This little restaurant in Kent St. is a lovely place. We decided to visit this restaurant before arriving in Sydney and weren't let down. They have the best hand cut chips ever. Service was truly wonderful, easy going staff. Water was attended to, the bread rolls were yummy. We shared three starters, prawns, calamari and oysters. My husband had the Atlantic Salmon and I settled for the whiting and chips. We enjoyed samples of each others meals. We felt for the price of approx. $120 the night was good value (hubby had a couple of drinks). It is off the beaten track but not that far from Rydes where we were staying. It's just down from the Observatory Hotel and can walked to easily from most hotels.

Yummy! I had the Opera cake slice and it was the best. Just deciding what to have was hard as there truly are so many selections. I spotted this lovely cafe while on the Sydney Explorer and was eager to visit the next day. This place has many customers on the Sunday but service was great. Everyone should try this cafe. I dare you.
