Lovely place to dine in, wonderful decor which was perfect to the t... was greeted promptly and watered frequently. Entree of duck pancakes came out within 5 minutes, and then followed the main of nasi goreng, ayam goreng and also the (chilli) beef was amazing! and very filling! There were always staff around to assist and were very helpful!
Sensational meal and experience, only regret not going there sooner as requested by my partner! Will be back!

I cannot comprehend the disappointment of this establishment, went to Georges about a year ago and the food was Great! My partner ordered ribeye steak which just melted in your mouth, and I had the moussaka, it was divine and plentiful! However, This time around we ordered the same thing and it was utterly disgusting.
My partners steak had no taste at all, and was undercooked as ordered and the worst of all my moussaka now resembled a microwave meal, it was 1/3 the size and tasted absolutely feral. There were chunks of mince at the bottom which tasted so bad and I even had burnt chips in there of the eggplant which was like eating sticks. It actually made me feel sick in the stomach afterwards. Will never be back, cannot believe how much they have plateau'd! The only good thing was that we had a really nice waiter, who deserves to work at somewhere better!

I went to Meat and Wine Co. at the beginning of the year with some friends which was a fantastic meal. However, I recently went back for a friends birthday and I was shocked as to the plight in service and food. I ordered the half rack of ribs and chips, and my partner ordered an ribeye about medium.
Firstly my ribs probably only contained about 50g of actual meat on it, just a bunch of bones drizzled in sauce. (very disappointing as I was looking forward to ribs for so long), chips were good but, hey, I could go somewhere a lot cheaper and get the same.
My partners meal was absolutely ridiculous, it wasn't even the meat he asked for! It was the same quality and texture as buying a cheap rump steak from woolies. Of course, he was too shy to complain, and for such an overpriced restaurant they should of known better.
My partner had to ask for his drink twice, 2 times in a row... and the waiter seemed like he had bigger priorities on his mind. Definitely will not be back here, nor will any of the people on my table, or my friends.
What a shame that such a restaurant in a perfect location could produce this type of food. Word gets around...

Very impressive little establishment, have been coming back a few times now- every time I have ordered the chicken pad thai; which is sensible in size... and also a beautiful mocktail that combines mangoes and a beautiful sorbet. The service is A1 always on hand if you need something, have always come in without a booking and never had to wait! Entree I always get the vegetable dumplings (4 a serve) which are beautiful and simple. Could not ask for anything else, I just wish I could shy away from the pad thai to sample other things.

Have been going to La Mono for years, it is now a favourite among my friends. When my partner and I go we don't even need to look at the menu we always get the BBQ mix plate which has everything you really need. Love the pickles and turnips, garlic sauce and hommous is fantastic (I love dip!) chicken is by far the best for me, so soft and full of flavour, second is lamb then the kefta. Have never had an issue- one of the things I must fault though is the lebanese bread that has been fried like a little cup which holds all the meat- can sometimes be stale which isn't the nicest. The atmosphere and service are so friendly, sometimes I see the owner having a little boogie behind the counter dancing to the music (hehe!). The place isn't very attractive however, not a place that is very elegant... but we come for the food... who cares?

This is now my favourite restaurant! My partner and I first came a couple of months ago. The only difficulty at first is ordering, and knowing what to order! Have been back 3 times so far and it has only gotten better! It is quite affordable as meals start quite low and get a little higher when you can share which is okay. We ordered Beef Bulgogi which is fantastic! And also teriyaki chicken is the rock bowl which retains the heat (my favourite!). My partner loves pork belly and that is quite delicious! The only hard thing is wavering from our favourites now to try some other options hehe! Will be back often!

My partner and I are very fond of Lebanese food- we often stroll the streets of Surry Hills and found Al Aseel. Environment is very modern and clean compared to some others around Surry Hills, were given lots of bread, olives (Yes!) and chillies before our meal which is always nice! Both of us ordered mix meat platters which were HUGE! and very satisfying! Delicious chicken, especially the dips were very enjoyable. Have been to many Lebanese restaurants and this is now my favourite! Will be bringing my family there this weekend for my birthday.
