Bay Vista, Brighton-Le-Sands, NSW    Add to list

Very poor food, very poor service. Had to ask three times for drinks, and the place was almost empty. The souvlakis were rubbery and tasteless, waitress said, this was due to them not being made on the premises and bought in bulk. Her honesty was much appreciated.

Many years ago, this was quite good. Now it's just another Brighton kiddies hangout. If you like loud doof doof and icecream, this is the place for you.

It’s now called Cherish. Unfortunately this place has gone downhill. Food use to be okay and people came from afar just for the coffee, which was to die for.

Now the food is below average, it's very basic, had some sort of a salmon cake, which was cold in the middle, the friends had the same problem with their pies, the tables were dirty, the coffees were shocking. And to top it all off, we were served by an old waitress with tiny shorts and weird boots. Not a good look for an eatery. This place needs a clean out.

Been dining here for many, many years and it's obviously great. Food is very good as is the service, and it's very cosy and casual. Great for a quick feed.

Recommend the prawns choo chee, and the pork and beans with chilli paste, (mo pad prig king) also try the squid salad for entree (yum pla muk).

Unfortunately the serves have become smaller in the last few years.

First timers, the other night. Pretty good feed, the only negative was the chilli , garlic octopus, very rubbery and could'nt taste the chilli or garlic.

We both had the meat dishes for mains which were very nice and good size portions of meat with the vegies cooked to perfection. The home made desserts were fantastic.

Recommend this joint, bit on the exy side but that's okay. Definitely go back and try the pizzas everyone is raving about.

Second visit here, never again. Blown away by most of the reviews below. This is NOT authentic Vietnamese. One of the reviewers below hit the nail on the head.

Entrees were alright. For main had the grilled barra with chilli and black bean sauce, which was absolutely tasteless, except for the mild black bean sauce (never had tasteless chilli beore) The princess had grilled salmon with chilli sauce, which was actually a sweet chilli sauce probably poured out of a bottle. The fish was cold in the middle and was also very bland.

We shared a fried coconut ice cream, which was very ordinary. We were both still hungry when we paid our seventy five bucks.

Been to better noodle shops.

Been coming here for many years and we've enjoyed each time. Very good food , terrific service , polite , caring , professional. This place is always abuzz , great for a group booking , or better for a romantic dinner.

Recommend bread with the snails , so you can soak up the garlic , and don't forget the fantastic desserts.

Not quite as good or traditional French as the legendary Chez Pascal. Nonetheless, still very good . Highly recommend.

Good to see some things never change.

The jury's out on this one, it's a bit of a tease. Been here a few times, found the food, coffee, service and presentation very good. Maybe a bit of overkill with the service.

Had a real problem with the size of the portions. The entrees and mains are very small serves and it's very exy(expensive). The desserts were nice and large but so was the bill. Pretty sad when you walk out of a restaurant, paid good dollars and still hungry. Had a strong feeling of being fleeced but it did taste great.

GUYS ! the nineties are gone. You gotta increase your entree & main serves and decrease the desserts and prices. Then you'll be sitting on a sure winner with the locals. We're still pretty much working class, here in Ramsgate.
