Great location, located by the water, what else could you ask for and the bonus was the fireworks at 8.30 pm Saturday.

After walking around Darling Harbour trying to work out where to dine my friends and I decided on the South Steyne.

We ordered garlic bread. I thought it was from the supermarket. Certainly uninspiring. Everyone seem to enjoy the mains, including the 400 g rib eye scotch fillet steak, lobster mornay and the chicken supreme. I had the oven baked barramundi, pleasant but not outstanding.

We finished with dessert which seemed to pleased everyone, I had the sticky date pudding, it was nice but I wasn't blown over by it, others in the group had the apple crumble and the chocolate mint chip ice cream was delicious.

A pleasant evening at a great location. Service was efficient and friendly and overall the food was good but not outstanding.

Used a voucher in the entertainment book. Glad we made a booking otherwise it would have been a wait. The place was packed. Service efficient and polite. We had the pork and prawn rolls (nice but not outstanding). The mains prawns and vegetables (what large serving) and charcoal pork and rice noddles (a standout, the pork was very flavoursome and delicately cooked). Only two of us but we were really pushing it to finish our meal.

A lovely find and we will be back with the family.

Just had my second visit to Blue Ginger. Although a little on the pricey side compared to others in the area the food is very tasty and well presented. Can recommend the salt and pepper squid (my son raves about it), the pork belly (wow I could eat it every day), pad thai (superior to many I have tasted), beef with oyster sauce and vegetables (delicious) and lastly the penang chicken curry - once again full of flavour.

This restaurant is popular with locals so it pays to book even on a week night to be on the safe side. Recommend, you won't be disappointed. Service was efficient and courteous. Would be great if they could leave a water jug on the table. Had to rely on the waiter to refill and it got busy during the evening it was difficult at times to get the waitress' attention.

This restaurant gets a gold star for the time it took to take the order, (you blink) and your food was on the table. Wow amazingly fast! We had the beef flambe, which came with rice paper rolls, vermicelli, sprouts, lettuce, pickled carrot and lovely fresh mint. Very tasty, the beef was beautifully tender and tasty, so much fillings available it was difficult to roll the rice paper rolls.

Second course was the stir seafood (ling, prawns and calamari) with lemongrass and chilli, nice but not spectacular. A pleasant dinner, will return with the family.

Overall a pleasant dining experience. The food was nice but not outstanding. I had the quail for entree, found it to be slightly burnt.

For main the salmon fillet with brown lentils, interesting flavours finished with the mixed sorbet for dessert which was delightful and refreshing. Others in our group raved about the oysters and mussels and the shared lamb rack was apparently delicious and generous in serving. May be on a return visit I will opt for that.

The service was attentive to begin with but during the course of the evening the staff seem to lose interest. Glass Brasserie is not the sort of restaurant I would frequent on a weekly basis, good place to check out for a special occasion.

The Restaurant did not disappoint - my friends and I opted for the degustation menu. The King Fish was my favourite dish, desserts were a let down though. The cucumber sorbet and goats cheese well it's an interesting mix. Service was friendly and attentive. A very pleasant evening and I look forward to my next visit.

Finally the North has smartened up its kitchen. Its the same menu but they now have weekly specials which is a great addition. North's menu is small, predictable and affordable. Tried the spare ribs and chicken wings in homemade barbecue sauce, salad and chips. Very tasty and the serving was massive - could be shared by two. My friends tried the chicken schnitzel and they thought it was very nice. Worthwhile checking out!

Thai On Wok was recommended to me by a Thai friend. She said the restaurant was the best in Glebe and I have to agree. Yes there are some shortcomings, like waiting in the queue but the food is worth it. Lunch specials are fantastic value. You can taste the flavours/spices and the food is so fresh! My favourite Thai restaurant!

Having read the reviews I was hoping that Nostos would not disappoint and it didn't. Service attentive, friendly without being overbearing. We opted for the banquet, just seemed easy. Standout dishes were the meatballs, calamari (tender) and of course the lamb. Desserts were divine, all made by the grandmother. Enjoyed the music although it was a little loud. Glad we were on the second floor. Shall return.

Nice to come across an authentic Thai restaurant. We had the banquet menu, really good value for $25.00, food tasty and servings very generous. Very attentive service without being overbearing. Dinner finished with fried ice cream, delicious. Check it out.
