We ordered the Katsu meal and the waiter refused to take our order and insisted we order another miso soup which I didn't want! There is nothing in their menu stating a minimum order. Ridiculous.

Twice I've had yum cha here and twice I've encountered the same rude waitress. The first time she snapped at me for daring to look under the steaming plates. The second time she came to our table and began putting food we didn't ask for on our table and we had to ask her to take it back. The third time she spoke agressively at us in cantonese (which I can understand) because we ordered something that took so long to get to us, we didn't want it anymore as we were about to leave and she insisted we have it and grabbed our order and stamped it. Rude staff, expensive prices, terrible.

As soon as we walked in the smell of toilet hit us. If you visit the Men's you'll notice the entire urinal trough is filled with urinal cakes. There are way too many cakes in the there, no wonder the place stinks of toilet.
The food was good but not the best we've ever had. We had vegetarian paella, patatas, spicy patatas, chorizo, bbq mushrooms, garlic mushrooms, tuna croquettes, flan, churros and 1.5 jugs of sangria = $205 for 7 people. Service was great, very accommodating as we had several latecomers.

The food was fabulous! My favourite was the soba with beef sashimi. Some oddities - the water had mint in it which tasted very much like mouth wash. At least it kept our breaths minty! We were also served a fried cube of rice, complimentary from the chef. Service was friendly and the restaurant decorated well (except for that crazy picture on the wall). A very pleasant evening.

The usual cheap buffet food. The hot food tasted like it had been sitting under the lights all day. I didn't like any of the 'real' food except the prawns. I had a bite of everything and then ate a heap of prawns. Seemed like everyone else had the same idea.
What I liked was the cheese and crackers, the salad and the desserts, except for the trifle. It was just cream, cream and more cream. Don't have the orange juice. It was 10% orange juice, 90% water. Stick to the fizzy drinks. The waiters cleared our plates quickly and was accommodating when we asked to be moved as our table was rocky.
The place reminds me of an American high school cafeteria. If you are very, very hungry this is the place to go. You won't mind the mediocre food when you're extremely hungry!

We had afternoon tea here and the BLT was tasty according to my partner and I had the cheesecake. The waiter asked if I wanted any ice cream with it and I declined. The waiter was fine and our food and drinks arrived promptly. So far so good.
I was quite happy up to the point where I noticed on our bill the price of my cheesecake included the price for the ice cream. When I queried the waiter on this discrepancy, he went and then came back to me and said "We are in the process of changing our menu prices and some of the prices are incorrect." Another cafe to cross off our list.

Went here with high expectations and was let down by poor service and back-stabbing kitchen staffs. The only good part was when our food finally arrived...after a 30 minutes wait. (Not to mention the fact that my cup was dirty and I would put up with it if I was eating at a cheap takeaway shop but at Garfish where they charge $$ for a cup of tea? No.)
We were seated right under the kitchen bench. First a pen fell and bounced off our table. The kitchen staff just laughed and 'apoligised'. If you thought that was bad they later dropped a butter knife onto my partner's back. Once again they laughed off an apology. Goes to show the pretentious of that place. We're never going back.

We had 2 tasting plates, 3 breads and 2 entrees and one expensive bottle of wine coming up to a total of $232!!?? My boss paid, so it went down well. We were seated outside and it was quite a pleasant evening.
Service was better than average, they re-filled my water, folded my napkin... all the things I expect from a fine dining restaurant. I plan to return again to taste the mains and desserts.

The restaurant is designed really well. I love the little turtles in the interior pond. We were seated at the table across the pond right next to the window with water views. (We were warned by the waiter "The water is real, don't step in it"). We had soft shell crab which was accompanied with the best tasting sauce I've had, tempura which was ok but I think we should've ordered something else instead and for dessert red bean pancakes with ice cream which was excellent and well presented.

My pancakes were a little charred on one side but it still tasted ok with plenty of jam and cream. The ham, cheese and tomato sandwich ($9.50) tasted a lot better than most expensive sandwiches made elsewhere. Service was attentive, we had three different waiters show us to our seats!
