Went to the Vineyard tonight for the first time. Had a fantastic time. Great service, very friendly, unpretentious and attentive, but not obtrusive. Food was delicious. We ordered the zucchini flowers in tempura batter, beef carpaccio, snapper and lamb shank pie.
All fantastic and decent serving sizes too. We were most satisfied! Alex the owner had some good wine recommendations and it was a nice touch to give us a complimentary glass of grappa at the end of the meal. Tiramisu was also on the dessert menu (in reference to the negative review below). We were most happy with the experience overall and will definitely be back!

I have been to eat here about 4 times. The first time, my husband and I had a really enjoyable evening. I believe it was a weeknight, so the restaurant wasn't overly busy, and we had a very fun and pleasant conversation with the husband and wife Lily who run the restaurant. We enjoyed shisheh - lots of fun. The food was OK - meat a little overcooked and the salad recommended by Lily had a strange tasting dressing. I was not a great fan.
My husband however loves this style of food and would probably give it a 9 out of 10. We also enjoy the novelty of the shisheh so we have been back a few times. Unfortunately, each time we have returned here, the service seemed to go downhill. We were here last on Saturday night and it was extremely busy and they were extremely understaffed. The food service took a very long time and we considered leaving.
This was very disappointing considering the good memories we had on our first and second encounter with this restaurant. I would recommend coming here on a weeknight if you enjoy Persian food and shisheh, but if you wish to come here on a Friday or Saturday night, dine only if you have patience and don't mind waiting for food or service!

This is such an institution, I have been coming here for over 10 years now and the food is still as good as it was 10 years ago. The mussels are divine, they are a must to order! I also love the salads, they are basic but sooo fresh and served in a lovely vinaigrette. The pizzas are legendary and you cannot forget the pastas, delicioso. Everything is so good.
Ummm, my mouth is watering as I am writing this review and I am not even hungry. If that's any indication of the food then I don't know what is! You must be down there early for a table, especially in summer and on weekends as it gets frantically busy in there. But that's part of the atmosphere. Bring a wine and enjoy good food with good friends.

Love the Pho here. The decor is very basic but clean. Great to come here for a fast, cheap and cheerful meal. Food is always fresh and good.

We came here with another couple and had a brilliant time. Fantastic food, great atmosphere and perfect service. I had the parpadelle as my starter and seared tuna for my main. Unlike many fine dining restaurants, I found the serving sizes to be fairly generous. My husband had the pork belly for his main and it was to die for. I had food envy for my friend's Beef Carpaccio, so beautifully presented. I will have to come back again soon!
My only gripe was that to go to the bathroom, you had to take a lift to another floor. Other than that, it was a near perfect dining experience and that little flaw will certainly be overlooked as the rest of the experience was spot-on.

We came here for a family member's birthday. Everything was so fresh. I would have to say it is one of the best places to go for sushi/sashimi in Sydney.
Service was ok, very polite and friendly when we had their attention but possibly a little understaffed? Service wasn't terrible, just not at the same standard as the food which was sublime, every single dish (we ordered about 12 dishes between us).
I especially loved the kingfish and salmon salads, and the deluxe sushi plate, it was so beautifully presented. We loved the experience, thought it was great value as the quality/standard of the food was very high. We will be back, hopefully soon!

We come here regularly on Friday nights, always bringing a bottle of red. The food is simple but good. The pizzas are delicious, pasta yum and salads nice and fresh, much like a home made salad. Only thing I would like to see on the menu is mussels, then it would make it a Northside family version of one of my old favourites, Bondi Beach institution Gelbison.
Service is fantastic, always genuine and very friendly, I don't think I have come across one staff member who didn't seem pleased to be working there. So I take my hat off to the owners, they are obviously good to them, that said, the happy vibe from the staff rubs off on the patrons!
We have 2 young children and the restaurant caters perfectly for them. The other week when the restaurant was completely full I looked around and I think out of about 30 tables I could count only 1 without kids on them! So I wouldn't recommend it for a romantic evening but that's not what this place is about, it's about good food, good friends having a good time and service with a smile.

Great food, just what the area needed. Catering well for people with young kids.
The zucchini fries were so good I think this is a must to try if you eat there. The calamari was a little on the salty side but crumbed nicely and very tender. The pizzas were good, a nice and thin base.
Only criticism is we ordered the salmon salad niciose, which was delicious but it was more like a salmon dish with a few niciose type vegies than a salad, there were about 5 salad leaves on the plate! We enjoyed it nonetheless, the salmon was very fresh and cooked to perfection.
The staff are always friendly and attentive. One great addition to Lane Cove, a nice local which isn't tired and boring like a lot of the other cafes in Lane Cove! hopefully this place will inspire others to lift their game and be a little innovative.

I have been here twice. I think it is probably not everyone's cup of tea, but if you like traditional European style food served with character, then this is your place. The owner Rudi might seem a bit obnoxious to some (eg. he drank from my husband's wine glass! and repeatedly ask me to kiss him) but if you have a sense of humour then he's fine. We had a great night with many laughs.
The food is expensive but very tasty and flavoursome (might be too flavoursome and rich for some). All of that said, it is our kinda place! On our last visit, my husband and I shared the nasi goreng as an entree. I had the lobster as my main (splurge!). All of the food was very good. A great place to go if you like big European style meals, a perfect wintertime restaurant.
If you like to eat big, drink big and laugh big then this is your place.

I work in the area and visit Sorelle frequently. Rosie the owner makes you feel so welcome, you feel like the cafe is an extension of her dining room at home. The food is extremely good value with most dishes being $7-12. Great quality pasta and homemade Italian tomato sauce...mmm. The cupcakes are to die for too! Oh yes we can't forget - The Coffee - best in the area!
