Arrived early on a Wednesday evening for dinner. Was told in the line it would be over an hour for a table. At the front of the cue was told it would be 2 hours! We took our buzzer and went for a drink at a nearby pub and it ended up being about an hour till we were shown to our table.
The atmosphere was buzzing and exciting. Love the open kitchen where you can see all the drama and action of the chefs! We had the buffalo cheese ravioli to start which was the highlight dish-cooked perfectly and delicious! For mains we had grilled chicken which was okay but a little too salty and fried fish which was ok too but a little too much like you'd get at the local fishnchip shop.
For dessert we had tiramisu and the tart both of which were fairly delicious. Overall the food was quite good. However, our waitress really tainted the experience for us. She wasn't personable at all and would drop the menus then runaway without saying anything. We felt like we had to ask to get anything done and she had a lot of attitude. Water wasn't refilled, mains were taken when finished without asking how they were or any offer of dessert.
We then received a bill without asking for it or being asked if we'd like to see the dessert menu? When we complained about this she blamed 'another waitress' which was funny considering all the other staff on the level were male! Then following desserts we had to hunt her down to get the bill! Still it was a beautiful atmosphere and we had a lovely time..just missing that service which was disappointing and did not make us feel welcome.

I was really excited to eat at this restaurant after all these amazing reviews but was disappointed! I had lunch there today and paid $25 for some dry chicken, few leaves of cos lettuce and chopped up tomato.
Service was friendly and nice but the meal took quite awhile to come out and was underwhelming. The dish lacked creativity and such a simple thing like cooking chicken properly let the whole thing down. I felt really ripped off paying fine dining prices for a boring, overcooked salad. Maybe this is more a breakfast place? As I walked past tonight at dinner time and it was empty! They do nice coffee though!

We ate here & enjoyed the beautiful ambiance & great service. However, we both found the food quite average/bland and were disappointed.

Have been here a few times, pretty good Japanese, quite affordable and service is very friendly. Thought it was weird they used a blowtorch to cook the salmon though?

For coffee lovers. I love that they don't charge extra for soy/decaf etc..very hipster/funkyish vibe, not really into the atmosphere.

Nice, funky cafe in Manly. Coffee is delicious, food is pretty good but a little expensive I think. Boys who run it are down to earth, friendly and super likable. Check it out!

Love Love Love this place! I've been here 4 or 5 times now and food, service and atmosphere has always been excellent. I have also tried breakfast, lunch and dinner and all were delicious. The dinner service was the most attentive, with the owner and other staff taking great care of me and checking to see everything was running smoothly. Sitting outside on a sunny day looking out towards the ocean while eating delicious food is like heaven.

I went to this cafe because of the organic factor. I found the food extremely overpriced and overrated considering the quality and portion size. I was charged $14.50 for 2 small pieces of chicken and an extra $4.50 for a tiny portion of vegetables. The chicken was mostly bone and fat and I was unable to eat more than a few mouthfuls. Super unimpressed, I feel its a pretentious and ridiculous place.
