Nice to finally encounter a modern Italian restaurant in Crows Nest. I was really impressed with the risotto I ordered and the pasta was impressive too.
Good service and decent value. Definitely recommend giving it a try.

Great coffee, the smoothest I have had in Sydney and the "Fancy Pants" bacon and egg sandwich is fantastic.
The short queue to get in on the weekend is worth it. Some of the clientele are trying far too hard to be fashionable, fortunately the service hasn't succumbed to this type of scene, I hope that stays the case as I can't wait to try more of the menu.

Great tasting Ramen but not worth going out of your way for it given the service. Given the queue that is typically outside I don't mind the push to eat and leave. Having a waitress rudely slam your Ramen bowls down on the table and then walk over to a group of Japanese customers to greet them warmly does, however, show a pretty tragic attitude.

I wasn't convinced from my first two visits but went back a few times and have found a real liking for their burritos, they are a great little meal. The staff are very friendly, the atmosphere's ok but I prefer to take away (although that stops you from being able to order the frozen margheritas). Great to have this option in Crows Nest, which needs more modern places to counter the 70's style restaurants on the main street.

I recently had Fish and Chips her combined with a Caesar salad it made for an overall flavourless meal they I wish I hadn't eaten. The service is friendly but particularly slow, 20 - 30 minutes for take away. The place really appears to be trading solely on location. If you really want fish and chips at Balmoral Beach I recommend driving off to get a take away elsewhere and bringing it down the beach.

Probably my favourite cafe in Sydney and well worth spending time to drive to it. I've mainly had breakfasts along with the occasional burger and they've been consistently great. The atmosphere of the renovated building is charming and the biggest stand out is the great service from the owners.

Still my favorite cafe around Cammeray and Crows Nest after living nearby for the last 2 years. The breakfasts are good the usual options. solid coffee, and an awesome baked eggs dish. Likewise the lunches are consistently good with my favorites being the risottos and prosciutto toasted sandwich. The cafe is full of light and a really nice spot to spend some time on a sunny day. I'd also add that the value has improved with portions consistently being on the mark. I definitely recommend you give it a try.

The Blaxlands Inn is a really good option for having an affordable meal in the Hunter. I have had a few dinners as well as a lunch at this venue over the past few month. The dinners have been great with really good steaks (recommend the Scotch Fillet) and tasty damper rolls. Lunch wasn't quite as good for the food, the top end steaks aren't available, but the venue did cover us well for a large group meal.
The service is consistently friendly and the atmosphere relaxed.

The Cellar has a nice warm and welcoming atmosphere and good service, however, the value for money is a real let down. Dinner for 2, with one glass of wine each, came to $185. For that level of pricing I was disappointed with standard of food, the steak I ordered was a particular let down.

Montagu has a fantastic range of distinct sandwiches that are a real standout for the north shore. Lamb Meatballs is a standout for me, but I've tried a few and haven't had a bad one yet. The coffee and service are also great.
