First off I would like to say that this restaurant is notorious for its waiting queues. Be prepare if you want to dine here.

The service here is mostly polite, friendly and prompts (thanks to the bell service at the table).

Madang have a wide range of food on offer on their menu, which cater from the mild taster or the chilli craver. I like their seafood pancake which was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The soft tofu seafood soup pot was particularly good. It is spicy yet retains the sweetness from the seafood. Other place can have the soup too spicy or too salty.

We were seated outside, although it was covered the cold wind seep through the bottom of the cover and made my entire dining experience very uncomfortable.

One last major fault is the use of disposable wooden chopstick. I can understand take away, sushi trains or food court disposable chopstick usage. However, for a proper restaurant to present disposable chopstick is utter insult.

Interesting finding a Portuguese restaurant in Kensington. It's certainly one of the pricier place around the area. If only the service and food are also up there with the price.

Ambience was nice with a decent mix of crowd. Clear glass overlooking the kitchen as you enter the restaurant. However the un-matching of style of cutlery and plate settings makes it feel like a $10 a meal place. Stores generally offer odd pieces of plates for less don't they?

Service was blend, and uninvolved. Once again in-line with the restaurant around the area.

Catch of the day was grilled snapper. Although the serving was decent, the fish felt more like "Catch of Last Week". Make me miss nice restaurant that have a menu policy of fresh fish or no fish.

If you could resist trying out this restaurant, you won't regret what you thought you might missed.

If you are still reading this, I like to add another review regarding their take away.

I tried out this restaurant because they do take away BBQ chicken which was quite good, however when I ordered my take away chicken (which was already cooked and at the hot food bar), they made me wait over 10 minutes before they hand me the food. They basically asked me for my order, went away to attend to other orders, then wait for me to ask when my order will be ready before they start bagging the cooked chicken which was sitting on the counter for the past 10 minutes.

Funny thing is, they actually have an express take away window. Go figure.

Good mix of diners, couples, young adults, family with adult children. If you fit into these groups, this place would suit you.

Everyone ordered steak at our table (specialty of the place I guess). My T-bone was cooked nicely at medium rare, with a tasty crust. However, two T-bone (same dish) was ordered at my table. One is vainly and thin, while the other is thick and juicy.

Evidently not all grill (steakhouse) can get their cut of steak right. Service is mild, neither friendly or rude. Mild service is acceptable at Mc D but feel uninviting at a restaurant. The wait staff would just bring drinks to the corner of the table and leave.

However, the most unappetizing of their service is when one waitress is wearing a baggy sleeves jumper. Without commenting on her fashion sense, her sleeves will sweep the table everytime she brings or pick up anything on our table. I could only imagine what her sleeves can wipe up from other table or from the kitchen and bring it to our table.

Also ordered Olives and Zucchini flowers. Olives is more ordinary then any you'll find at a deli. Zucchini flowers is abit over stuffed making it taste like fried ricotta cheese.

Great tasting pizza in the area. Misses in the service. I order pick up on a Sunday night and was told a pick up in 30 minutes. Knowing their generally slow service, I waited 30 before getting into my car. (8 minutes drive)

I waited another 30 minutes at the store before I got my pizza. If you are going to be slow, please just advice upon ordering that the wait is over an hour.

Thinking back, I have never waited over an hour for pizza. Not even at dine-in.
If you are after a make-you-wait pizza. Give this place a try.

Party of 6. Its ok to have no table service but can waitstaff at least smile and greet when entering shop or when ordering. Premium price pizza that use below average quailty ingrediant. If you have been to any other pizza joint that charges 20 bucks and like their pizza then give this one a miss. Dessert was served on a saucer. Dessert was....... hm...how should I put it, store bought.

Only try this restaurant if you can't bypass "all place advertised" or if you have already tried all the restaurant in the 2 km radius of this place. Not the cleanest place to dine. Although staff were friendly, service was very inefficient. If you are a fan of Bak Kut Teh, get a packet (or two) from any Chinese supermarket and your cooking will beat this place hands down.

Fish head noodle soup was the only dish I had dip my chop stick in twice that night, however, I don't think it justify the $19 price tag. Not only I would not be back to dine, but also recommend all my friends to give this place a miss.
