Outstanding food quality. The pasta and bread were home made we were told and boy you could taste the difference. I am usually not a fan of duck but the breast was done to perfection as was the pizza. The 'bit of everything' dessert platter is to die for. Service is friendly and warm and not pretentious. We have been twice and will keep coming back. Apparently they are opening Sundays now with a Rib and Steak night, we're there!

Went to this restaurant with my Greek girlfriend for an authentic Greek experience. Apart from a painting of the Greek islands on the wall and the Greek music in the background, we also received the following: Over-emphasis of service from a Chinese waiter (was just expecting someone Greek, who knew the food and could pronounce the dishes better than myself), stuffed vegetables (an eggplant, cut in half, as it was entree size, ridiculous to cut something in half and put it on a plate.
A stuffed capsicum, hot pot of approx. 6 garlic prawns, a chicken breast toped with salmon which was drowned and covered in what looked like bernaise sauce with asparagus. Extremely salty, I didn't finish the dish and I do agree with the other comment. what the.....? is bok choy doing on a plate in a 'Greek' restaurant and as an entree pita bread with creamy garlic bread, add 2 glasses of water=$72 thanks.
Needless to say, we skipped dessert and got out of there. The waiter asked how the food was, when it was obvious because we left at least 1/3 on the plates. Never again. I could have made a better effort out of a cookbook and I am not even Greek.

Went there with my girlfriend on Friday. We found the staff extremely friendly and observant. Food was great. Had the Hotpot Olives, which was something I have not seen anywhere else. Wanted to go healthy, so opted for the lemon chicken breast, which was done just perfect, not too dry, nice cut.
My girlfriend had the spaghetti marinara which was very good, but not fantastic. (8/10). We will go back because the service was very very good and the food matched it. Recommended to all. P.S. Make sure you book. I am glad we did.

We were invited to dinner last week at this restaurant and I was absolutely blown away. Based on the reviews on here, I am happy to report that the service was very good, infact we were a party of 5 and we had 3-4 people fuss over us at different times, checking if we were happy and explaining the food as it came out. Very nice views of the harbour bridge, easy street parking and overall a beautifully decorated restaurant if not particularly Turkish looking.
The mixture of entree's were to die for, the organic chicken skewers with chickpea, tomato and cinamon(?) were a taste sensation! Unfortunately, even for a Thursday, once a group of slightly tipsy males (all in suits) arrived at the table behind us, things were a little too noisy for my taste and the staff did little to quieten that lot down. Disappointing.

After taking advantage of the email feedback feature on Candeloris website and getting a prompt reply from the management stating how wonderful and popular the restaurant is and that perhaps I was at fault regarding my feedback comments, which included individual reviews of each dish, we had seafood risotto (4/10), potato mash with olive oil (10/10), baby octopus on rocket (6/10, too much dressing and far too salty. I have this dish in many Italian restaurants) and pointing out that I perhaps should have asked for a different table, whilst noty acknowledging or apologizing for one of the grumpy waitresses (the other one was very friendly all night) or passing on my comments re the two low scoring dishes to the chiefs, I thought I would make my comments heard here.
The bottom line is this: Candeloris has wonderful ambience, a huge selection of dishes and overall service and food are ok. If I owned this very successful restaurant and I received feedback that was mixed and this specific, I would thank that person and pass on the messages to the relevant staff members, rather than getting on my high horse as making the customer wrong.
It wasn't even a big deal and I was not even saying I wouldn't return or that it was disappointing. When I pay $100 for two people, I expect food and service excellence. I can find that in a number of restaurants in Parramatta or Leichhardt, for example. Last Friday, I didn't get it and based on the reaction I got, why would one want to go back?

My girlfriend invited me there for my birthday dinner and we were both pleased. She had the lamb rump which was very tender, I chose the chicken and mushroom risotto as a main course, I just couldn't finish it all. The flavours were just wonderful, the Mediterranean side salad and bruscetta are also recommended.
The latte was worth every cent and the tiramasu was beautiful also. The waitress who welcomed us was very 'business as usual' without a smile but one of the waiter was outstanding. Very friendly, asked in what order we wanted dishes brought out, asked about if we were happy with the food and was overall genuinely interested in our well-being.
We'll be back. Being a Friday night, the restaurant was only 1/3 occupied, but food service was very fast. Overall pricing was good.

So the food isn't cheap with mains ranging from $29-$40 BUT 'Oh My God' it's fan-tas-tic! We went Fri 12th Nov and it was, without a doubt the best food and service I have experienced in years.
Seriously, it was THAT GOOD.
We ordered Pork Fillet, Beef Fillet and on recommendation from the other review on this page, my girlfriend was so excited about the chocolate strawberry basket, while I tried the Trio of Gelatto, which included Berry and a scoop of Pear Gelatto-unbelievably tasty, I'm sure it was home-made. The friendliness of the service and the large windows looking out onto James Ruse Drive with the lights dimmed and the room quiet-just exceptional.
Hey, if you're a guy reading this and you want to really impress your girl and/or the in-laws, for God's sake take some money (or magic plastic) but impress them right there. And NO, I don't work on commission for them.
