We dined here on Friday evening. The food and service was everything we expected and more. Yes the decor was a little tired, but hey the place is an institution so why change a good thing. The lamb rolls were divine and the crayfish in fluffy white egg omelette was light and tasty. The King George whiting with spicy salt and lemon was crisp and delicious.

It's definitely a place we'll be returning to when we revisit Melbourne. Thanks to our waiter Barry for recommending such great meals and for the attentive service provided throughout the evening!

Arrived at 12.20 pm for lunch and left at 1.40 pm. We felt so rushed! We barely finished our very expensive tapas (4 bland meatballs in tomato sauce $11.90 and 2 scallops $12.90!) and out came our mains. Not a bad tasting meal but nothing to rave about. I've cooked and enjoyed a better steak at home. Our order comprised of 1 Bellini (that tasted like cough mixture), 2 beers and 1 glass of wine, the tapas mentioned above, 1 fillet steak and a serving of ribs and the bill came to $150.00. Oh and by the way, I don't like listening to 2WS radio whilst I'm being charged $150.00 for a meal! Won't be back!

We dined at Pilu's for lunch today for my mother's birthday. We had a lovely table on the verandah by the window and had Tim as our waiter. Tim was very attentive without being intrusive. He is an asset to the restaurant. The food was beautiful and the atmosphere and views are amazing. I had 2 entrees rather than entree and main. I had the zucchini flowers with the frito misto which was light and tasty and the scampi with the sea urchin butter which was also very nice. To top off a great meal, I had an affogato. Thanks to the friendly staff (especially Tim) for looking after us. We'll be back!

We have just returned home after dining at Laughing Ganesha. The only disappointment was that we haven't dined here sooner. We've lived in Lane Cove for quite a while and often talked about going there and we're glad we finally did. It will be the first of many visits. The food was beautiful and the service attentive but not intrusive. The only small criticism is the lack of time between the entrees and the mains. Other than this small criticism they've got it spot on!

This is the best Chinese restaurant in Sydney!! Everyone I have ever invited here and referred has raved about it. The food and service is consistently excellent every time we dine here. We have been coming here (almost twice a month for about 5 years) and will continue coming here. The staff know what we like and the pace at which we like to eat. The spring rolls are to die for. Try the shan tun chicken, soft egg with seafood, lamb pancakes, salt and pepper seafood, rice paper chicken, lamb pancakes and the black bean prawns. You won't be disappointed! Thanks Stanley and all the staff at Lees. Keep up the great food and service!!!

I go to Ricky’s almost every time I go to Noosa (which is quite a lot). It's a destination. I love the atmosphere and the location on the river is lovely. The staff are always pleasant and the service is attentive (waiter Paul is an asset to the restaurant).

However I dined there last week and was disappointed with the quality of the food and the portion sizes. We shared tapas and 2 entrees. I was a little confused as to whether the entree of zucchini flowers was a tapas dish or an entree (2 small shrivelled zucchini flowers lost in a salad). Each zucchini was the size of a cigarette! From memory this dish was priced between $10 and $15. The pork belly was dry and lacked flavour. Loved the crumbed stuffed olives.

I don't mind paying a decent price for a good meal but I don't like being ripped off on quality and portion size. $187.00 for a bottle of wine, 4 plates of tapas and 2 entrees! I hope it improves the next time I visit or it may be my last :(
