My friend really fancied a thick shake from a cafe round the corner who did a ferrero rocher flavour. Their chiller was broken so had nothing to offer and we wandered round to La Piazza. The waiter who came out to see us couldn't have been friendlier. He said they do standard thick shakes but had hazelnut gelato and offered to make one especially for us. Now that is service.

We ended up having lunch and it was excellent. The cheeseburger was stunning but too big for me on that day. My friend had the lamb salad and whilst she enjoyed it she wished for a bit more lamb. Excellent service and well priced. That waiter went above and beyond and was definitely appreciated.

I had randomly read about LYNN's on eatability shortly after they opened and just put it on my to-do list. On Wednesday night we visited the Sydney Noodle Markets in Hyde Park to bid farewell to my brother who was leaving Australia. As we walked past someone handing out flyers I was too far away from them in the crowd to take a flier but I called to my friend to grab one when I heard them say LYNN's.

The noodle markets were far too busy for our large group and we decided to head in to China town to eat. I asked my friend for the address for LYNN's and it seemed a much better idea to make the group walk the shortest distance possible!

Straight away from the man at the front desk (who later took a group photo for us) to leaving at the end we were greeted with warm smiles and a friendly attitude. Nothing was too much trouble even when our group struggled to work out the best way to order. We probably met everyone working that night (even the chef making noodles behind the window of the kitchen) as the whole team pitched in to look after us.

The food was very reasonably priced and the portion sizes were above average. The shanghai dumplings were perfect and the wontons in spicy sauce with noodles is a must have dish. My only complaint was I wanted a bit more of the spicy sauce! We had a different type of dish that was essentially a nut and meat mix which was served with these little seseame toasted pockets. That description doesn't do the dish justice but it was so moreish I couldn't stop eating them. Some others in the group had the squid and bbq beef which all looked great and there were no complaints from anyone.

Thank you to all the staff for your great service and making us feel so welcome. I look forward to trying some more of your dishes next time.

The wait can seem a bit silly but the queue never lasts long. I enjoy their ramen but the gyoza and the tonkatsu curry are my favourite. Not a regular but like to treat myself once in a while.

Had a really nice meal here. Smallish space but made to feel very welcome and the waitress (maybe manager) was excellent. Couldn't have been more helpful and very chatty (which I think my friend mistook for flirting) and knew the menu well.

We had the san choi bow which was a little small for the price but the mains more than made up for it. The deep fried eggplant was a stand out for us, which is impressive given we had the amazing crocodile.

Definitely give this place a go. You won't be disappointed.

Mediterranean Lamb is the best pizza! A little bit pricey for the top end pizzas but service is quick and efficient and a great menu variety.

Looks can be deceiving and I hadn't been too bothered to check this place out before. However, my partner had visited once and really enjoyed so she made a booking for us.

Service was very attentive and couldn't fault their efforts. Straight away given water and had our wine poured whilst being offered garlic bread or bruschetta.

Bruschetta was nice and the balsamic had a nice thick consistency that stained the bread and was quite enjoyable. The acidity and the freshness of the tomatoes was a nice way to start the meal.

My partner ordered the lamb shanks off the specials menu and I ordered the sirloin steak with prawns from the meat section. We could not fault the lamb in any way. It was so succulent and the sauce needed some fresh crusty bread to mop it up at the end. I was lucky enough to finish off this dish and it took all my self control not to lick the plate clean.

The steak itself was perfectly cooked and quite large. The prawns were a bit lost in the meal and didn't really do much for me but the sauce was again very nice.

Not long after we received our mains did a waitress come and ask if everything was ok and overall I felt the service was not too overbearing but also not too distant. My partner finished with the creme brulee which she enjoyed but found the topping a little bitter.

A little bit more than a normal meal for two but we left feeling very full and relaxed. Definitely will go back as there was so much on the menu to try.

Had a fantastic meal here over the Christmas break. Can't really comment on service as you order and pick the meals up from the kitchen when the pager goes off but the chefs were friendly and staff were wiping down tables etc.

We had the pork belly which was delicious and came served on a beautiful corn mash with chinese brocolli. The stand out meal, however, was the beef shoulder. It was so soft the back of a spoon could break it apart. So much flavour we just couldn't stop eating it even when we were so full! Will be hard to visit again and try something else it was just that good.

Meal for 2 was $48. Not the cheapest pub, but then this is well above your average pub food.

Had takeaway from Taipei Chef on friday after much anticipation and it was very, very good. The menu has a several dishes I really want to try and can't wait to go again, but it will be hard to ignore the dishes we had on friday. The fillet beef in pepper sauce is as suggested below excellent. The meat was so tender and the sauce is incredibly rich. So wonderful. We also had the taipei green beans. These came with mince and had a spicy chilli sauce that was a bit vinegary. Absolutely delicious and addictive. We also had the pork dumplings which were above average. Definitely worth a try if you are bored of the usual takeaways and the portions were large. Could definitely have fed an extra person with our order.

I have now visited Thai Face twice and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The first time was a pleasant surprise to find a slightly higher quality thai restaurant. The ingredients are good and the presentation is a step above what you would normally find.

We've had the massaman curry which as mentioned by other reviewers is excellent. It is well presented and the roti bread is unusual but delicious and perfect for the rich curry sauce. There is a duck dish that is brilliant. It is a roasted duck but with cinnamon and star anise. Very delicious and the glaze is slightly sticky and sweet. A spicy noodle dish and a chicken cashew nut stir fry were excellent.

In general the portions are massive and whilst a little more expensive per dish, the size makes it good value. Thoroughly recommended. A good place to bring visiting friends. Enjoy.

I had a nice meal here last night. It was my third visit and each time we have been served very quickly and the food has been great. We had the bibimbap set last night. It has gone up in price but includes more side dishes. The sashimi platter included was excellent quality fish and the edemame was a nice start.

Both my girlfriend and I really enjoy it here and think the bibimbap at least is well worth the visit. The quality of the meat and the vegetables mix so nicely with the mild thick chilli sauce. Waitress was very attentive and helpful and didn't rush us at all. The food came out very quickly. To the reviewer who said this is a joke of a japanese restaurant, it's Korean.
