We tried this restaurant for our anniversary dinner because it is reputable and established one. But it was a big mistake. The food we ordered were terrible. The fish pie was as if eating salt. The fish of the day came with huge amount of overcooked, discolored vegetables that you might find in the deli section of Cole's. The service and atmosphere do not compensate the taste. For the same amount of money, others offers superb food.

Enjoying a restaurant (or not) is a very personal response. Lots of things can impact on whether you have a good experience – your mood, the person you are dining with, the waiter, the noise, the décor or lack of it … and sometimes the food. We serve over 500 people per week and have done so for 33 years, so clearly most of the time we get it right or we would be out of business. We have enough confidence in our food to offer an unconditional guarantee, so you will not be charged or be given another dish, if for any reason you are not happy. It is a pity therefore that you did not speak to your waiter on the night when the issue could have been instantly resolved and you would have enjoyed your evening.
