Six of us went for a late lunch on a Sunday. It wasn't busy and the staff paid us plenty of attention.
The food was very ordinary. If it was a lot cheaper it would be Ok but when you're paying $70/head for a platter you expect tasty fresh food not bland "reasonably" fresh seafood. The sweet chilli octopus was dry overcooked or old. I couldn't tell it tasted bad.
Garlic prawns were good. Caesar salad oily croutons shaved cheese bacon and little else.

I love the Laksa here. Either skinless chicken or prawn in huge bowls. The Chicken rice is great too. It's crowded it's busy but perfect for a delicious quick lunch. Try the specials of the day they never disappoint.

I was at the Grace Hotel for a 4 days of training as such I didn't pay for lunch as it was included.
The food is good. Salads are fresh and tasty. The hot meats veggies and pasta dishes while not pushing any creativity boundaries are good and tasty. Desserts were lovely. I could have happily eaten any of them and by the 4 day I probably had.

The value rating is a guess as I don't know how much was paid. I attended a wedding for approx 400 at this venue on a Sunday night.
I should mention there was a start time mix up, we were told canapés and drinks at 5 pm but it came out later on that evening that the start time was 5:30 pm. There were some hungry thirsty people waiting on the very sunny balcony facing west..with no chairs or offers of water.
The food was great. There was plenty of it, it tasted good and it was very well presented. The timing was totally out of whack due to earlier issues maybe. We had alternating entrées of seafood (prawn, oyster, crab ball) or antipasto (grilled vegies and cold meats).
Mains were chicken or steaks (med - rare) lovely. Desserts profiteroles or panna cotta with wedding cake and tea/coffee. A little to large with the wedding cake. The waiters were very nice about requests for meal changes in the alternate meal arrangement. Most of my table wanted the steaks!
The service staff tried really hard to be good but it just didn't work out. Maybe this was due to the number of guests or the late start? I'm not sure but it was noticed by everyone.
Examples of this. Placing 1 pre dinner platter on a table of 10-12 with 2 small bowl of dip and some carrot sticks. It was another half hour before the bread baskets arrived and then another 10 minutes before the oil and balsamic showed up. It was confusing. Then all of a sudden 2 more pre dinner platters show up at each table but no bread refills? Odd. Nuts and olives showed up during dinner.
Drinks, there were champagne flutes, red and white wine glasses and water glasses at each setting. However, no one came to clear unused glasses once the meals had started. If you did order a drink the empties were left on the table for the remainder of the night. At one point we had to start stacking them to make space for our dinner plates. Water glasses weren't refilled and you couldn't order jugs, only glasses. The beer and wine selections were good and the bar staff very helpful. The band was set up way across the floor away from the tables. We could hear them without being subjected to loud speakers above our heads.. very good call!
Overall there was great potential for a beautiful night but the service and dinner timings ruined it for a lot of people. I have been to this venue before for a corporate function, I feel it is better suited to that than weddings.

I was a guest at a party held here. So value for money is just a guess. We had approx 60 people in the party and had the banquet. The food was good. The timing of course a little off. Mezze seemed to go forever and the mains were a little lacking in size.
Fruit dessert was hiding out of view. It would have made more sense to have platters at each table. We had to ask for more food because our table of 8 was given only 3 skewers of meat. We weren't hungry but we still wanted to try each dish. The other tables in our group were given 2 though.
Music is far too loud and I didn't feel that advertising the restaurant for Christmas parties during our function was considerate. The waiters did their best to keep everyone happy and maybe our group was too rowdy. But the result was less than pleasant ambience.
I'd recommend for groups under 12 only. Larger groups seem to be too much to handle. Parking wasn't too bad for a Sunday either.

I'd been to Chat Thai GV food court before. I loved the food and super quick service.
Chat Thai Haymarket could use a lesson in good customer service (see Mamak). I has great food, good value but there is no excuse for having customers standing in the street for 2 hrs! The seating system doesn't work. Also the staff have no idea of how long the wait is going to be. A little bit of communication would go a long way to happy diners
Emerald duck a nice dish to try.

How disappointing! I love Vietnamese food. The flavours are so fresh clean and tasty. Tre Viet failed on all counts. How can you make lemon grass chicken flavourless and bland? The vermicelli noodles in the bbq pork salad were soggy warm and still wet.
The papaya salad had a lovely taste but was so over powered with raw garlic that I had a tummy ache and was burping garlic all night. I won't be returning not with the abundance of good quality tasty and cheap Vietnamese food I can find everywhere else.

I'd read the reviews before going, I had some idea of what to expect. I was surprised that we had to confirm the $10 per bottle corkage with the waiter. They don't tell you upfront! The food is fine. The room is loudish but not too bad. I was a bit peeved that our 2 pizzas didn't fit on the table. Can't they get those pizza stands? Won't be rushing back, but if I was in the area and hungry I'd stop by.
