I struggled through 2 Sunday breakfasts here with a couple of friends who had heard this cafe was a great little place. I can handle a cafe having a rough day and gave them the benefit of a second visit, but honestly, both times we went it took forever to be served, with us eventually having to go to the counter to be served. The waitress was rude and very short with us, though I can hardly blame her seeing as she appeared to be the only staff member doing any work.

The food was of poor quality, served over 45 minutes later, and on both my visits my orders were wrong. In fact, the second time we visited all four of us had something incorrect with our orders (I know, 'bowl of muesli' and 'scrambled eggs' is a big ask).

To top it off, on our second visit, I was served a latte (Not what I ordered) made with very off milk. When we took it back to the counter, we weren't even offered a new coffee or an apology.

Needless to say, our friends nor us visit Sassy's anymore. With so many other great cafes on the Peninsula, I'm surprised this place stays in business.

We came for a relaxed Sunday lunch with friends, and all left feeling satisfied! I couldn't be more complimentary of the staff who were attentive, helpful and really knew their way around the menu, which was a refreshing change. Great selection of beers and wine.

Food was delicious, fresh and beautifully presented, though I have to admit, I expected this based on reviews I'd read before we arrived. Wonderful atmosphere. More expensive than your regular pub fare, but deservedly so. We loved our time here so much that we've booked the upstairs dining room for our wedding reception next year!

This is my very favourite Erina cafe, I drive 40 minutes to go here at least once a week. the coffee is sublime, the food is gorgeous and very well priced for it's high quality and the service is consistently great. I particularly love the lemon scented scones with cream, they are to die for. I'd recommend anyone head here for coffee, lunch or dinner, you won't be disappointed.

Decent lunch here, servings generous and tasty, but nothing really worth raving about, prices a bit on the high side. This place could benefit from more experienced service.

We stopped by here recently while on holidays for a mid-morning coffee, and I couldn't help but feel like it was an inconvenience to the staff that we were there. We firstly got a sly eye-roll when we said we would not be having breakfast, but coffees only. The coffees took a long time to arrive, then when we went to pay, I went to the "wrong end" of the counter and was bluntly told to go elsewhere to pay. To top it off, the next staff member we encountered when paying for our coffees looked extremely annoyed that we had not left a tip! I think I'll be heading elsewhere next time I'm on Smith St!

As locals to the area, we seldom let a week go by without visiting the "O.B" for cheap Schnitzel or T-bone night (My boyfriend maintains they do the best steak on the coast). Food here is always fresh and really nice, classic Aussie Pub fare. Service could probably be friendlier with some of the staff, but it doesn't really bother me too much at this type of casual dining venue.

We entered the dining hall to escape the rain one rainy Friday afternoon and were happily surprised by the size of the dining hall and the fantastic warehouse style decor. I really enjoyed the variety on the menu, none of us could decide what to have, but all were very satisfied by their meals. Service was friendly and attentive, and although it wasn't super cheap, I still felt like I got good value for my money. This is a really fun place to visit with a bunch of friends on a lazy afternoon, so you can enjoy the whole variety of the menu and the fantastic beers!

We visited this restaurant in a large family group for my grandmother's birthday. The views are to die for, as was the food. The desserts being a particular highlight for me. Everyone on the table was impressed with their meal. Contrary to other reviews on this page, we were all exceptionally impressed by the service from the staff, one young waiter in particular. The food is expensive, but of a high quality, so if you were looking for a special lunch, I would recommend visiting.

Food here was pleasant. We had the Carbonara which was lovely and a Beef Burger that was almost as big as my head. Staff were polite and friendly, ambience was so-so, but it wasn't exactly the Pub's fault, a couple of noisy rough patrons there made the place less enjoyable.

Lovely cafe in Katoomba, friendly staff, gorgeous decor. One of the best coffees I've had in ages, my partner and I both wanted a second for the road! Breakfast was really nice. Would visit again.
