Checked out this restaurant on a moderately busy Sat night. Authentic looking decor and waitresses were dressed in interesting red costumes. Belly dancing at 8pm - be prepared to be invited to dance. Food was quite reasonable though a tad pricier that out in the western suburbs. Friendly service though our ordered pide never arrived although it appeared on the bill.

We hadn't tried African food in a while so we tried this place on a Thurs night. Reasonable decor and ambience suitable for casual dining. The African gentleman who served us was unfailingly polite and friendly. We tried the domoda chicken, vegetarian ndambe and a side of broccoli. Well-cooked tasty cuisine.

Portions were a little on the small side, I would have tried another dish or two but I had a sore jaw which inhibited my ability to chew properly! Would like to go back for more dishes when time and budget allows.

I've been to this unassuming eatery three or four times now. It used to be part grocery, part cafe but the grocery has completely disappeared and been replaced with more tables. A good thing because the food is excellent. The chicken momos and thali are recommended. We found our buffalo dish tasty but a little tough.

Ambience is bright and breezy since being renovated. The service staff are quiet but unobtrusive and friendly. On separate occasions, they gave me free lassi and momos to sample. I'll be back again.

We tried this place on a Sunday night. Reasonable ambience with a scattering of tables down the length of the establishment. We were just looking for a light meal and this became problematic because the waitress pointed out that a minimum $20pp charge applied. In the end we ordered a tostada basket and nachos and drinks which almost made up the minimum charge. Reasonable food but at inflated prices.

Tried this place out on reasonably quiet Thurs night. Sumptuous decor and ambience, well suited for a romantic meal rather than a roudy night out with mates. Service was a little up and down, our waiter started to take our plates away without asking if we had finished first. Always a no-no. We ordered a couple of vegetarian dishes (fouhl and cauliflower with dipping sauce) which were very good and reasonably priced considering the location.

Came here on a Sat night to sample Peruvian cuisine and to see if the unfavourable reviews posted here were justified. Having such low expectations, we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant ambience was bright and breezy, the waitress was obliging and friendly. Mains were generally priced $16-25. We tried the Ocopa for entree and the Lomo Vegetariano and Arroz Con Pollo for mains. Quite good actually. The chicken was tender and the sauces were very good. Is the place under new management? Not sure but the restaurant deserves a repeat visit in our book.

Checked out this place on a quiet Sunday night. The dhal, a mushroom pea dish and sides of fried rice and garlic naan went down well. Service was polite, friendly and unobtrusive, the dishes were good value.

I've been a regular for several years now. I can't say I've ever had a bad dish. The daily specials with mains plus dessert are particularly good value. Good ambience especially on the weekend. At times it can be hard to find clean utensils in the joint and the tables can be a bit sticky but otherwise the service is ok.

This place is the bomb! Came here on a Fri night. Small but interesting menu with dishes inspired by many influences. Healthy food and reasonable portions, friendly service to boot. Recommended.

Acutely aware of some bad reviews especially about the service, we tried this place with trepidation on a quiet Sat night.

True to form, the waitress appeared brusque and ushered me to a table closest to the toilets. Was this a sign of her confidence in the food? Rolling of eyes ensued when she came to take my order and I told her I was waiting for my friend to arrive. The air-con was suitably chilly.

Suffice to say, things got better. The foofoo, cassava and main dishes were good, and the waitress warmed to us. In a lighter moment she described the African gunpowder tea as 'manpower'. An interesting experience all up, but not for the easily offended.
