Came here for my 10th anniversary.
Simple food done very very well. I still think about that trout.
Fantastic value for money, almost too good.
Can’t wait to go back

Went here on a Sunday night as we thought it would be quieter, for my brothers birthday. Party of 13 people. Booked for 6:30 so that we could get the kids into bed at a reasonable hour as they had school the next day.
We were not served for 30 - 40min, until we discovered you needed to push a service button. It may have been helpful if this was explained to us in the first place. 7:00 we ordered drinks and food, half the drinks came within an acceptable time but the bottle of wine took a full hour to arrive.
Some of us had decided to share the 1m pizza and were pleased to see most were noted as gluten free on the menu, as my wife is gluten intolerant. However after checking with the waiter he explained the 1m pizza could not be done GF, I thought this should have been noted on the menu. She ordered the beetroot and pumpkin salad ($19, This consisted of majority rocket, a scattering of 1cm cubes of beetroot & pumpkin, very disappointing for the price.)
The kids food arrived within about 20 min (mac ’ n ‘ cheese $16 , overpriced for portion size and being a kids meal), this came out in an acceptable time and we were expecting the other meals were soon to follow.
By the time the rest of food arrived it was 8:30 the kids had been fed so they were getting tired ready to go home. Before all the mains were served, desert began to arrive, and then items we had not ordered. All this prompted me to speak to the manager who said they would look after it.
By the time everything was soughed we were so upset by such a lack of organisation and professionalism we were ready to leave only to be presented with a $600 bill and a Sunday surcharge.
I don’t get to go out for dinner often enough but when I do I’m happy to spend good money on good food but with that needs to go good service and value for money. Won't be back.
