This is the most amazing cafe I've ever been to in Sydney. I discovered this place about a year ago and have returned every weekend since. The menu is excellent and, unlike the other reviews, I don't find it particularly expensive for Sydney.

The only negative comment I would have to express is that the staff seem over eager to clear your table which can sometimes contradict the easy-going atmosphere it tries so hard to create, with plenty of communal tables which invite you to while away your time with plenty of tempting pastries and delicious coffee. This relaxing tone is priceless in Sydney, where good cafes often want to hurry you out the door once you have eaten your last morsel! This place is a welcome treasure with genuinely wholesome food and cheerful service. Long may it continue!

A lovely looking, art-deco cafe completely ruined by the terribly over priced and disgusting food. I am amazed that a cafe can create such bad food and undrinkable coffee. The original art-deco interior is quite interesting but the unbelievably bad service, high priced menu and inedible food will make this cafe a place to avoid. I tried to ask the staff the age of the cafe and was met with a very rude response! Never again.
