My fiancé requested Italian for his birthday dinner and I choose il bacaro based on the raving reviews. We weren't disappointed. I liked the place from the moment we walked in. Tables aren't cramped together like at some other restaurants, and it had a romantic feel.

Food is amazing, highlights being the prawn filled zucchini flowers, the special pasta of mud crab tortellini, and the cheesecake dessert. The servings are a touch on the small side, but they usually are at restaurants of this caliber. It's not cheap, but it's definitely worth the money and we will be coming here again.

This is a great special occasion restaurant. All the food we had was beautiful, especially the duck main. The chocolate souffle tasted sublime, although the texture was quite different to a normal souffle. Service was perfect and I would highly recommend this place.

I'm not too sure why this place has such bad reviews. A group of 5 of us went for dinner last night and the food was lovely. Highlights were calamari, eggplant with honey (and I'm not an eggplant fan) mushrooms and the baked cheese. The seafood and vegetarian paellas were both very tasty, although I think the seafood paella would be nicer with big prawns. Waiters were very friendly, and make sure you order the apple vanilla martini, it's amazing!

Visited this restaurant with the entertainment card and we were quite impressed. Oysters kilpatrick and prawn spaghettini were both delicious as entrees. I had the baby chicken for main which was cooked to perfection and so flavorsome, partner had the pork belly which was beautiful except the crackling wasn't crackled enough. However it's a small fault in what was a great meal. Service fantastic, highly recommended!

I booked Zios for an intimate birthday dinner for 6 friends. This place is hard to fault, all the food we tried was amazing, with the highlights being the duck plate and the seafood platter. The food is so fresh and is cooked to perfection. The service was perfect, and the owner Jacob is so friendly and accommodating to our needs. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to others and can't wait to return to try the other dishes.

This is a great little find, we will definately be back. For entree we had the tasting plate which was beautiful, it came with some mussels on it & we dont normally like mussels but they were cooked beautifully. We both had seafood dishes for main course and they were delicious. The only downside was my partner had ordered king prawns with calamari, and there was only 1 prawn on the plate! The prawn was the best part of the dish as well so it was a little disappointing to only have 1! However overall it was a great night, with good service & good food.

Wow so many negative reviews on this site but we had a good experience. Ambience is different to what I had expected. It's quite noisy and casual for such an upmarket restaurant, so just don't go expecting a quiet romantic dinner. Our waiter was always on hand, friendly and helpful.

All food was delicious, standouts for us were beef tataki, pork belly, sashimi, and chocolate and pistachio dessert. We went with the entertainment card and even with $40 discount the bill still came to $250. All the small dishes add up!
All in all a good experience, and we will be back.

I went to The Point last night for dinner with my family. The location is lovely, and views are beautiful, very romantic! We were given a mille fieu of goats cheese as an amuse bouche which was lovely, we all wanted a few more! We were all impressed with our entrees. Between us we had the angel hair pasta with marron, suckling pig, and the crayfish consomme... all delicious.

Mains of steak were all fantastic as you would expect from here, but my dad was a little disappointed with his snapper as the serving was tiny, more like an entree. All desserts were stunning, and came out with a candle and happy birthday written on the plate for two of us who were celebrating birthdays.. which was a nice touch.
Overall, great food, great service, a little pricey but you get what you pay for here.

We visited this restaurant with another couple and quite enjoyed our experience. Everyone was happy with the meal they ordered, the only thing I could fault was my steak was slightly overcooked (came med-well done instead of medium). Our waiter was friendly and helpful even though it was only his first week, and we used the entertainment gold card which gave us a discount too. Great local find, we will definitely be back.

I dined at this restaurant for the first time last night with 4 girlfriends and we all agreed it was fantastic! The food was delicious between us we had the chicken breast, paella, steak, and prawn mussel linguine and they all tasted lovely. Quite large servings too so we were happy we didn't order an entree. The orange cheesecake and chocolate tart were fantastic also. We initially had to wait a while for our mains to come out but it was definitely worth it. Friendly and helpful waitress too. We will be back!
