Benjarong Thai has been back in Bondi Junction for a couple of months and has made a very good impression on the locals.
On this visit we were with one of two very large groups in the restaurant. The service was pretty fast considering the number of patrons enjoying dinner and there being only one staff member serving!
The restaurant could do with some more decorations and some heating, however, the food is excellent. One highlight is the Volcanic chicken. It is a whole small bird which has a wonderful flavour that penetrated every part of the chicken.
I'd also recommend the Veal supreme (braised veal with ginger and onions in coconut milk) and the Vegetable tarts as an entree. Hopefully the restaurant will start accepting credit card payments in the near future so we can go back more often.

Whenever we're in Brisbane we like to dine at Ahmet's restaurant. It does get very busy on Friday nights, so it is advisable to make a booking. We've found that even when the place is crowded, the service is still fast.
We ordered a couple of mixed grilled platters of chicken, lamb and adana skewers and a lamb cutlet with Turkish rice and a green leaf salad. It was quite a large amount of food and it was very tasty.
We also got to see the belly dancer around 9pm. (We enjoyed the show). We'll definitely be eating here on our next visit to Brisbane.

It is always difficult choosing a restaurant at South Bank as there are so many great places to eat. Of the two Ginga restaurants at South Bank, we chose the quieter one on Grey Street.
Ginga is a Japanese fusion restaurant and the menu features dishes from a number of countries including Japan, China, Korea and Italy, that would be the pizzas!
We had a wonderful Baked chicken Katsu with white sauce (on fried rice baked with cheese) and a Chicken Karaage curry. For $5.00 extra we were able to create a combo. We chose the Gyudon thinly sliced beef.
The food was really nice, especially the Baked chicken Katsu with white sauce, a dish we had never tried before, but would highly recommend.

We visited Bistro Moncur on a recent Sunday evening. The service was prompt and friendly. Fresh sourdough bread was served as soon as we were seated.
For entree, I ordered the French onion soufflé gratin. It wasn't the most elegant looking entree I've seen, however, it tasted divine. My wife's Beetroot and goat curd salad was also very tasty.
It was very hard to narrow down the choices of mains. We settled on the delicious Blackmore wagyu beef flap (a special of the day) along with the Crisp skinned Atlantic salmon fillet which was also delicious.
My wife's dessert of Chocolate soufflé was a little overbearing. It would have benefited with the addition of some berries. My Poached pear and raspberry millefeuille with ginger cream, on the other hand was excellent.
The bistro wasn't crowded so it wasn't very noisy. It doesn't have the same atmosphere as other "hatted" restaurants we've visited, being more family friendly. The food looked great and was cooked to a high standard. Overall it was a very enjoyable night.

We had an early dinner at The Hard Rock Cafe on Saturday. It was our first time there and we noticed meals being delivered to others were on the large size. My wife and son wisely shared a burger (and almost managed to finish it). I also had a burger and thoroughly enjoyed it. The large beef patty had a sweet hickory flavour.
The food isn't cheap, but the quantity and quality make it exceptional value. The combination of great tasting food, extensive drinks menu and friendly service will ensure they keep filling up their 500 seats. And we're sure to be repeat customers.

My wife and I enjoyed an excellent Friday night dinner at L'etoile. The service was fantastic. Our entrees arrived within five minutes! The waiters were all very friendly. We had a great spot out the back in the large undercover courtyard where it wasn't as noisy as inside the restaurant.
We've been to most of the "hatted" restaurants and found that L'etoile would have to be the best value out of all of them. The food was delicious and all portions were large and very well presented. We enjoyed a very flavoursome entree of Baby Leeks and the lamb and beef mains were cooked to perfection. A watermelon appetiser was followed by extremely fresh and tasty desserts of Pain Perdu and Peche Melba.

Our large group arrived late on Sunday night unannounced and the staff were still cheerful and attentive. Everyone loved the food. The salad was fresh and dressed perfectly. The pizzas were delicious. I recommend the Margarita pizza with onion as an additional topping, it was a real favourite. Next time we'll get a couple of that one!

The thin crust pizzas were full of flavour. The staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly. All our food arrived surprisingly fast and it was so cheap we had to leave a substantial tip. Now just having looked at some of the other reviews here, we appear to have visited on a good night and were very lucky to have such a wonderful dining experience.

We enjoyed an excellent lunch at Celinis yesterday. Our salmon cutlet was cooked to perfection and so too was the mixed grill. Everything was tender and juicy and full of flavour.
The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Although this restaurant is a long way from where we live, we would love to dine there again.

I've been to Mamma's Kitchen many times over the years, however this may be the last time I dine there. I was with a group of eight who ordered a variety of meals. The pizzas weren't too bad, however the chicken and beef burgers were revolting. They would have been OK except for a horrid black sludge which was one of the worst things we've ever tasted (possibly the caramelised onion). Also some of the cheese was rancid. The pasta meal was awful and we were charged for a more expensive dish (which we deducted from our tip).
There was an extra charge on our bill which nobody could explain. The cashier wouldn't remove it though! (also deducted from our tip). The service wasn't too good this time either. Once our meals arrived, that was pretty much the last we saw of any waitstaff.
