This place is a dive! Great location with great views but the severely rude security and bar staff, along with tasteless drinks have made Cruise bar very unwelcoming. We went there one weekend with a group of 8 people after a nice dinner at the rocks. We were all looking forward to spending the rest of our night at Cruise bar but we were refused entry on the basis that the guy to girl ratio was too high. We had 5 guys and 3 girls!
Security told us that this was a management policy and it was out of their control. This seems to be the same excuse everywhere you go in Sydney these days, Security staff blame Management when incompetent security guards are employed to do a job outside of their capabilities. We would have probably understood their reasoning if the bar was busy and full of men although on this particular night it was very very quiet with hardly any people.
The next time we went back when we were actually granted entry (2 guys and 2 girls) the overpriced drinks and cordial-like cocktails confirmed my opinion of the place. We have never had the food there so my comments extend only to the bar-side of this overpriced establishment but fortunately we will not be going back to find out the quality of the cuisine!

Been here once before and the food was great. It is very pricy but you really go to this place to enjoy the great views of Sydney whilst enjoying your 5 star meal. If anyone is looking to go to this restaurant, I would recommend to go early evening while there is still light so one can get the full experience of the revolving restaurant. It is definitely more of a restaurant for a very special occasion. I can say one thing though, that it is a step obove other sky rise revolving restaurants within the Sydney CBD!

We live locally to this restaurant so we thought we would give it a go but I won't be returning again. I have been to Thailand many times and have been to countless numbers of Thai restaurants throughout Sydney and this one would have to be the most Unauthentic Thai cuisine I have experienced.
Most of the food does not taste too bad but it is far from the authentic taste. The ingredients used, and style of cooking suggest that the kitchen staff is not Thai at all. It is quite a small restaurant but even with us being the only customers, it was hard to get service.
If you are lookng for authentic, great tasting Thai food, this is not the place to go. Very disappointed as I always had ambitions to go there.

We have been here a couple of times and both time we have found it a pleasant dining experience. The fact that you cook your own food may turn some people off, but let me tell you, the cuts of steak and fillets of fish provided for BBQing are second to none. It is a little pricey but you really do get some quality food.
The first time I went I had a beautiful rump steak which was perfect. The second time I had the fish of the day which happened to be a barramundi fillet (very generous size) which was one of the best tasting and freshest fish I have ever consumed at a restaurant. The fact that they tell you how many minutes the food should be cooked to get a perfectly cooked meal also helps greatly. The salads are fresh and tasty with a good range of breads to choose from.
The only bad point I could say is the lack of rain cover in the outside area, especially the path walking from the cook house to the main building. It just happens to be that the night we went, it rained fairly heavily. The lighting inside is also very dim but, these two minor points do deny the fact that this place is unique and perfect for a quiet meal at the Rocks or for a starter for a big night out.

We have been to this restaurant 5 times now and have never been disappointed. This is definitely one of our favourite places to go. The food is always fresh and tasty with authentic style Lebanese cooking. The banquets are quite pricey but you really do get value for money with unlimited tabhouleh, salads and dips.
It is a perfect option for any group wanting to go out for a night just to relax and eat great food. They do sometimes get busy of a saturday night so make sure you book. They will make sure your table is booked all night and you will not be rushed out to make room for others.
We have also been there to have a normal meal (not the banquet), where we chose to eat a salad, meat skewers and dips for two people. This is a cheaper option but you will not be leaving with an empty stomach.
I highly recommend this restaurant for someone looking to go eat somewhere different to the norm.
