Mid week work lunch for 10. Had the rigatoni with prawns which was delicate and well balanced, home made pasta was not overcooked! Antipasto of cold meats was good quality.

Overall, the food was appreciated by all. Restaurant looks welcoming and smart, but the waiter, while efficient, was incredibly rude and unhelpful. We felt rushed, starter plates were whisked away before the sharing plates were finished. No smiles, no courtesy. When asked how large the tiramisu serving was, his response was ‘well, it comes in a bowl’ with a condescending huff. La Rosa needs to sharpen up its service to match the quality food.

I love this place and probably eat here twice a week. All dishes are very fresh and tasty, just prepared and I go home feeling full and healthy. Service is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and quiet, perfect for a quiet dinner with one other. Not ideal for large groups as the in-line seating is not conducive to multiple conversations. Excellent value. The best casual dinner in Coogee.

We showed up on a Wed night, the restaurant wasn't full, but we waited a good 10minutes by the door with waitresses waliking past us and intentionally ignoring us. Eventually someone came over and shouted 'upstairs, upstairs'. We left. I don't think this level of service should be acceptable anywhere.

Had takeaway pizza, it was excellent, 'the real thing'. simple good quality ingredients, sweet tomatoes, thin crust. Highly recommended.

Had yum cha for dinner on a Thursday night, restaurant was on the sticky side and virtually empty. Ordered a vast selection of dumplings and was disappointed as they were average at best. Appeared to be bog standard and straight out of a frozen packet. Best thing was steamed veggies. Cheap at $75 for four, but wouldn't go back.
