My family and I were very impressed with the quality, creativity, and presentation of the food. It was a comfortable and relaxed environment with great ambience. The waiter who served us was polite, patient, and informative.

The price is obviously higher than your average restaurant and rightfully so because it's much better than your average restaurant! If I were rich I'd be dining there every night!

We went there on a Monday night and it was very quiet so my expectations of the food wasn't high despite of the reviews I'd read. We ended up being very impressed by the quality of the food and the staff were very friendly! Ambience was the only thing lacking but we only went there for the food :). I highly recommend!

After reading the reviews and one day finding myself wandering around the city, I decided to give this place a go. The food was good, nothing amazing and not anything to die for, but good enough for a quick lunch. Great value because it's a few bucks for a good sized meal.

I agree with what's already been said, staff (who are all volunteers) are extremely friendly and warm, value can't be anything lower than a 10 because you pay whatever you feel, and the food is generally good.

I love the buffet style where you can put whatever you want on your plate and go up, however, many times you want. There's always a soup and salad with about 8-10 dishes (very good variety of dishes I might add). Their curries are the highlights for me.

The only thing I didn't rate very high was the ambience. I personally don't like the feel there but that's just me. It's not supposed to be modern, romantic or anything like that.

Come here for a good feed and I'd encourage everyone to be a little more generous when paying at the end! They do great work and I know they're running at a bit of a loss (as you could imagine..)!

Went on the weekend for yum cha. I've tried yum cha at many other Chinese restaurants in Melb, I'd have to say the dim sums here are noticeably better than what others offer. The buns are softer, the seafood is fresher, and all the dim sums are generally tastier.

I agree with some of the comments that have been posted, service definitely isn't their strong point. Food came out slow and the staff weren't extremely friendly.
Will go back again just for the food!

We decided to give this place a try reading the reviews. Happy to say that we were not disappointed at the slightest!

We had the banquet, the food is just delicious. My personal favourites were the seafood platter (calamari and prawns were amazing!) and the meat platter. All the ingredients were fresh and cooked just right. There was plenty of food and we wish we had worn stretchy pants. Great value for both the quantity and quality of the food!

Service was outstanding, very friendly but not intrusive at all. Food also came very quickly (I'm a fairly impatient person and hate having to wait for food) which I was very pleased about. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

My family and I come here about once every couple of months, but only ever for yum cha. We have yet to try dinner here.

We've tried most of the yum cha places in the south eastern side of Melbourne and this is the one we like best. Altho the quality cannot be compared to what we've had in HK, it is the closest thing to it in this part of town (note that I'm only referring to South-eastern area). Very reasonably priced and affordable (tho that's easy for me to say because my dad usually pays!).

I know many westerners dislike or feel uncomfortable with the noise levels/ ambience of Chinese restaurants, especially yum cha. However, for my family and I (from HK), this is the way we like it! If you haven't been before, be aware that yum cha places are extremely noisy.

We're due for another visit next week! Maybe I'll be generous and pay for my parents this time.

My family and I eat here often. We usually go on a Fri or Sat night and it's always packed with alot of people lining up outside waiting for seats or waiting for their takeaway. The fact that 90% of diners are Chinese say something about the food. The food is authentic and tasty, and very good quality for its price!

The ambience was average because, just as any typical chinese restaurant, it's very noisy and rather crowded (trying to fit as many tables as you can in the place), but that's the kind of environment Chinese actually enjoy because that's lively.

Service is average as well, not overly friendly or rude, just average. We'll be going back as usual!

Food is definitely the seller for this one. Authentic Indian curry, very tasty and great variety. This is not the place if you want a nice dining experience, best to do take-away for this one. The place isn't extremely clean or comfortable. Service is difficult to rate as you buy food over a counter and that's all the contact you would have with the staff generally. Having said that, the staff at the counter could still do it with a smile. Very reasonable pricing, worth a try!
