A new-ish restaurant in the area. We've visited multiple times. We prefer their sushi and sashimi dished to their cooked food. Service is always friendly and efficient. In our opinion, it's one of the best valued Japanese restaurant in the area, if you consider the quality of the food, the ambience and service.

We've been going to this restaurant for the past few years. This place is pricey! However, the food is always excellent. Prepare to spend up to two hours if you decided to try their kaisie menu, as there is a good space of time between courses.

The ambience is nice and the staffs are mostly efficient. The mini kaisei menu during weekdays are good value when you take into account the effort it took to prepare each dish which are a feast to the eyes as well as being very delicious.

This place is cash only.

Ambience - This is a place one goes to eat only, it's not a place for you to sit around and chat, the staff will make sure you leave once you finish your meal anyway.

This place is a bit of a hype! The Ramen here are good, but not out of this world. I have had equally good Ramen elsewhere without having to wait for an hour in the cold.

The service is acceptable at best, a far cry from the usual attentive and polite service one comes to expect for a japanese restaurant. But then again, you are only there for one purpose to eat then leave. As long as there's no expectation, it's not too bad.

In terms of value it is pretty reasonable $20 will get you a noodle and a side dish. This is a place we go when we crave japanese noodles and don't want to drive across the bridge.

We've been to this restaurant many over the years. Been there recently to try the all you can eat buffet. You go to this place for one reason only. Juicy fatty marbled Beef. It is expensive but if you are craving good beef and don't mind doing the cooking yourself this is the place to go.

The buffet during the week days can be of reasonable value if everyone in the dining party have a healthy appetite. Their salads and other dishes are delicious, too.

The waiting staff are generally polite and efficient, but there can be difficulties getting their attention when the place is busy. The ventilation of this place varies, there were occasions that we'll come out smelling like barbecue meat, other times it'll be fine.

So I guess don't wear clothes that are dry-clean only to this restaurant just to be safe.

The food here is always excellent and the quality consistent. The soba which is one of their signature dish is a must if you like the buckwheat noodle, they make it fresh on premise, you may get to watch the whole process if you have lunch there. The service is polite, but can be a little inefficient when the place is busy.

There are two sides to this restaurant, the Soba side and the Teppanyaki side.
It can get a bit "fumey" or smoky in the Teppanyaki side so we usually ask for a table on the Soba side.

The ambience is great, the decor is simple but traditional. As for value, it's on the slightly expensive side, but there are more expensive Japanese restaurant with lesser quality food out there.

Overall, we will happily recommend this restaurant to our friends.

Went there for dinner on a Friday night. The food was good (we had sushi and sashimi, did not try their cooked food), service was a bit on the slow side as the restaurant was very busy.

As for ambience the seating was comfortable but it was quite noisy to the point that one has to speak up to have a proper conversation, but the overall vibe is lively. The overall experience was about average, we will consider going back.

It is not really a restaurant but more like a takeaway with a bench with bar stools if one prefers to dine in. So the ambience factor is lacking. I like their cook food (the dons) better than their sushi, the Katsu don is always tasty with a good thickness of tender chicken breast, unlike some places where it's just skin and batter. Service is always quick and friendly.
