Golf Paradise has 5 baseball/cricket batting nets, a huge double level golf driving range, golf pro shop, Putt Putt course, heaps of parking, bush location and a pretty decent chinese restaurant as a bonus.

The food is always high quality and fresh. 5 of us meet up for a hit of golf or baseball batting practice on a regular basis and then we enjoy a cold beer and some very tasty chinese food afterwards. There is only ever a few other people dining at 7:30pm Thursdays and the service is polite and efficient. While I wouldn't go out of my way to travel here just for a meal I have always enjoyed eating here after a hit and see it as a handy addition to the other facilities to be found here.

First impression was good, ambience Ok. Service Ok but the menu pricing is confusing. The $16.50 Six bowl Tapas entree is actually $33.00 as it is for a minimum of two. I was Ok when I understood this but then was surprised to find it was a similiar deal for the Paella - $25.50 for a main but that is for a minimum of two so the bill for a frying pan of paella was actually $51.00 -Ouch.

The saving grace for me was that the Tapas were pretty good and the Paella was particularly tasty. Sangria was $7.50 a large glass. Overall I was happy until I got the bill and felt a bit ripped off on the mains price not being properly explained by the staff even after questioning. I guess you have to put it down to the restaurants struggle to survive while swimming with the sharks on the surfers paradise strip. I would go back if the prices were a tad more family friendly as we all enjoyed the food.

Our group of four adults and four kids 5 - 15yrs old enjoyed a great meal and atmosphere here last night. The service was efficient without being in your face. The kids were made welcome and adults attended to immediately. The garlic and cheese pizza bread and side serve of delicious sicilian olives started the taste buds tingling.

Surf and Turf was a top notch eye fillet with the most generous foursome of king crab legs! The crab was perfectly cracked for easy access and made for a very different 'surf' accompaniment to a great steak. The 1kg beef ribs were a man sized meal and served on a wood slab for a great effect. The meat fell off the bones and the sauce was just right, not overwhelming the flavours of the meat.

The ladies enjoyed a choice from the pasta menu and a grilled fillet of atlantic salmon. I wasn’t offered a taste test but both were grinning. The kids were taken care of with a good choice of steak, chicken and fish meals. Prices were very affordable and the place was packed on a thursday night.

I recommend booking for Thurs, Fri, Sat nights. Its just down the road from the Sands hotel and has great parking across the road at the surf club. After dinner in discussion with Kylie the manager we discovered that the young head chef trained at Aria under Matt Moran - Its just opened and is one we will definitely return to soon.

This is the best Thai food in the Hornsby district and surrounds. I took my two boys and good lady to Rice Thai Monday night. It was not busy and I can see from previous reviews why. Well I am pleased to say Rice Thai is back better than ever before.

The food was outstanding, our chosen entree special was Miang Kham. I haven't tasted anything else like it. The blend of prawn, coconut, ginger, fresh betel leaves, peanut, lime and chile is a sensational flavour. The kids loved the Thai Lamb Kebabs, Money bags and the excellent Pad Thai noodles. Another authentic new dish for us was the deep fried barramundi in Choo Chee sauce. Authentic fresh and rich Thai flavours smothering generous pieces of fresh Aussie Barra. Awesome.

Jenet is the new owner and she was a very gracious host indeed. Rice Thai is my new favourite for our region. Very good value for money and great food and service.

Finally after waiting 6 months for a Sat night table for two we made it to "Tets". I must admit that even with the huge reputation he enjoys, I had held a long term mental block in accepting that I should wait this long and then have to pay the formidable amount of $210 per head to give this place my business up until now.

It was a definite feeling of "ticking it off the bucket list" mingled with great expectation as I drove through the iron gates on Kent St to enter the private world of this Iconic dining establishment. First impressions were impressive! I felt like we were checking in at a 5 star hotel. The professional greeting from the staff as the valet whisked my vehicle away had me feeling warm and fuzzy as we were escorted to our table.

Seated on the ground floor against the window in a cozy corner with a view of the japanese garden and koi carp pond made it difficult to remember we were in the middle of Sydneys metropolis. Fleur introduced herself as our waitress for the evening and proceeded to delight us with descriptions of what we were to expect over the next 3-4 hours.

Great warm bread rolls which you can smother in the lightest whipped butter with parmesan and tiny truffle chunks is a real delight, go easy though as the food to come although tiny in serving size will fill you eventually! First course - Chilled Cucumber Soup with Sheep Yoghurt Ice Cream mmmm 8/10
Second course - Sashimi of kingfish with blackbean and orange - sensational 10/10.

Third course - Marinated NZ scampi with curd and junsai outstanding - another 10/10. Fourth course, the signature dish - Confir petuna ocean trout with konbu, celery and apple. We really were blown away with this for its simple concept, petite size yet massive flavour and perfect texture. It was in all aspects a glowing 10/10 and we will have to attempt to make it ourselves at home just because we need to have it or something like it again. My wife declared it as her new favourite food topping all others.

The rest of the courses has a really hard act to follow and were meat based and I gave them 8/10 until the oxtail Braised ox tail with sea cucumber and yuzu
which was another 10. Desserts were a sweet finale to a fantastic meal my favourite was the White Peach with Peach Granita a 9/10.

Overall I would go again but I could happily wait 12 months and then I would love to do it with a group of 8 foodie friends and take a private room. The service by Fleur and four other waiters that served us along with explanations of every course as they presented it was faultless.

It was a defining dining experience that lived up to the huge reputation. We felt pampered and that we had partaken of a priveleged gastronomic feast. In my experience this was the best dining experience I have enjoyed in every sense and it has to get my highest rating. We felt special for having been there and that is beyond what most other establishments can offer you, forget the bill it is a priceless experience to be savoured rather than oft repeated.

Great value and consistency. Too small to eat in but it has a couple of tables
Kids love the Makhan (butter) chicken (standout dish) and the Lamb Korma is delicious. Nan is thin but tasty. Grab some papadams. Mango chutney and mint sauce are great sides. Yum - a great takeaway.

Recommended by friends, I was a bit disappointed. After paying for nearby parking I climbed the steps and took a ticket for 20 minutes wait. Exciting in size and clamour I expected a real Hong Kong Style Yum Cha treat. What I got was average suburban Sydney Yum Cha. It was filling and tasty but just average. Price was so so. Parking hassle means no more visits.

Quick cafe style Thai, restaurant prices for cafe ambience, generous serves, food is tasty without being special. Better choices at North Turramurra.

This place came highly recommended. I have been twice but am not rushing back. Its focussed on Yum Cha and seafood and is pricey all things considered. It was very busy, service was adequate, food was nice, bill was more than I thought it would be. Not bad but looking elsewhere.

Get in early or be prepared to wait, very popular with Malay Chinese locals. Meals are authentic and very good value. Food is fresh and good without being great. Ambience is noisy, decor is very plain, service is sufficien, great for families. The beef rendang was a standout.
