Can only make comment on the seafood curry laksa which was really good with quite decent portions of calamari, prawn etc though pretty pricey at $13.40.
the place itself needs a a cleanup, lick of paint, few pictures, perhaps some background tunes the standard restaurant stuff to make it bit more comfortable.

Stumbled across the king one Sunday night when looking for something in Flemington to take away. Saw a long queue up some dodgy old lane and walked in to see what all the excitement was about. The queue was for people waiting for the laksa king's take away, and the restaurant was packed full, so I gave it a go.

Haven't looked back, really tip-top food, the laksa is brilliant as you might expect given the name but the rest of the menu is also very tasty, fresh and good value (plus its byo). The new premises are a huge improvement. Definitely try it out, you will be heading back for more, just as I have been.
