This little gem is a must-do if you can get in! Go early to get your name down, there are no reservations. (The bar next door is perfect for a wine while you wait).
There is also no menu, you get a set menu of wonderful, fresh vegetarian food. Go hungry! The servings are so generous, its impossible to finish them all and for such a small cost.

Great food, but a cold, sterile interior. We didn't have a reservation, but were lucky enough to get a spot at the bar mid-week. The food service was fast, but I thought it was a little overpriced. Delicious and fresh nonetheless. Service to order and for drinks was slow despite being seated at the bar, but very friendly.

Beautiful food in a beautiful characteristic cafe. Its just too small for the demand to eat-in. The classic fare available is so refreshing and difficult to choose from and the breakfast stack is truly unique.

A delicious night out. We went mid-week and had a reservation anyway to avoid disappointment. We got a side table against the wall that gave us great privacy despite the open space and the service and food timing was perfect. We ordered the set menu. A wonderful balance of generous proportions without feeling overly stuffed. The food came fresh and warm, tender meat, crisp salad and a complimentary variety of food. No repeat flavours/styles.

Quite unimpressed with this restaurant. I imagine its great if you're local in Flemo, but even with Taco Bill open in Kensington now, Tres Taco could be easily overlooked. The dining space is great, with colourful decoration and a cool mural, but the food is overpriced and plain. They aren't "complete" mexican dishes. The enchilada is just that, a single tortilla wrapped around some beans. No salsa, guacamole or salad. Very disappointed. Don't go there if you're really hungry.

Tex-mex style restaurant, but there are a few meals that aren't so "everyday". I'm a particular fan of the Chimichanga. Heavy meals, but generous servings and value for money. I've been a few times and the service has been slow each visit, but for a good feed and fun food you can't go wrong.

I cannot fault this restaurant. The bustling mood of the dining room was the perfect atmosphere for a cosy dinner after a long day talking with winemakers. The service was casual and friendly. We had to wait at the bar for a table, but that experience alone was like sitting at my local pub enjoying a lazy drink.

Initially, we were stopping in for a quick, warm feed before a long rest, but the food was so good we stayed for 3 courses, each one tasty and generous.
Recommended for every trip to Red Hill region.

I love good beef and especially wagyu. This cook-yourself fare was superb! Perfect meat, tender and fresh. We got a selection of wagyu beef to grill ourselves and an amazing cappaccio beef mince with raw egg. Delicious.

A little expensive in my opinion. We spent $70 per head with two beers each and left a little hungry. Each serve for the grill was a handful of beef slivers. My biggest concern is the heat from the grill. That, coupled with the spotlight we were, unfortunately, placed under, made me sweat at the table, not a great look when dressed up for a fancy dinner in the city.

I would go again, but not soon, not if I was starving and only for a special experience.

Let me first say I'm not a vegetarian, so my review is coming from a different place than others. The food here is fresh and cheaper than other Mexican places in Melbourne but we have so few. But I thought the place was small and crowded. The kitchen, however, was fast and the food and beer menu are great. But the beans just didn't cut it with my tastes. Next time I need a mexican fix, I'll go somewhere ele.

A beautiful restaurant, lovely views, perfect placement of tables. The food is fresh, creatively put together and served with great timing. The service was attentive and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful, although not at your beckoned call, we had to wave a few times to get water topped up etc. That definitely did not diminish the gorgeous experience overall however.

Take a wander through the garden and grounds after you've eaten, they are beautiful and the resident flock of ducks that watch you eating are a pleasure to see.
