For a place that has been in the same spot for ages, I expected it to be of a certain standard. Now I'm not saying "silver service" I'm well aware its a 24 hour cafe.
The food tasted good. But we had to ask three times for it, it was "lost" but was them delivered and it tasted good, so no harm done. The coffee was ok too. Milkshake was Great! However, the guy who was out waiter seemed annoyed that we had dare disturb him that day (ie: arrive, sit, and order?). It was bordering on down right rude. Then he "lost" our food. The menu is pretty limited, which was a shame, because like I said before, the food we had was good, not a flavour sensation but no complaints there.
It was just this waiter, he was totally mean! That really swayed my decision not to go back there whilst he is still there.

The $12 lunch speacial is pretty good value. Of course, its limited but for $12, I think that's to be expected. I used to go there pretty much daily as I work just across the road, however, I have found that the ambience is not particularly relaxing for a lunch break, always noisy, strange "lounge bar" repetative Loud music on repeat which drives me crazy.
The waitress is ok, no small talk or pleasantrys which, for me, adds value to an establishment. For a (not now of course) daily customer, there were No smiles or greetings. No one seemed pleased to see me. The rest of the menu is hugely overpriced, and for the price, disappointing. Needless to say, I have stopped going to Makizo. Not the worst place I have ever been too, but leaves alot to be desired.
