We went there on for weekday night dinner. The place was empty so we expected prompt service (which we got). Someone mentioned the lack of freshness of the naans (we agree entirely). The curries were less than average and in that particular day, our table was surrounded by fruit flies. The waitress pushed us to pay the bill! I had to tell her off twice!.
Overall food was not good, service not good, ambience not good. Sorry guys, we won't return here.

This is a place you want to go for special occasions only (so you don't mind the prices too much) Food, drinks, ambience and service are great (10 out of 10) for dinner. You get a feeling prices are excessive when comparing to the other options in the area but I guess it is okay for the quality of the chef.

We have been regulars (mostly for breakfast on the weekends) to the Globe for the past year or so and we like it very much. As other reviewers we agree the coffee is outstanding, the best in Coogee. We love the variety of their menu and specials that they offer every week. Seating is always a problem on weekends (you can get plenty of seat before 9ish). Service can be slow when they are busy but overall we think it is worth the wait. Friendly staff.

Two Saturdays ago, I took my girlfriend for dinner before going to a 9:00pm movie at the Ritz. The restaurant was almost full and although the service was not bad, it was not the best either. We got our meals quite fast and we were treated well. I must say that the prices are too high (we spent $100 for 1 entree, 2 mains, 2 glasses of wine and 2 coffees). Also, the coffee was not good at all (you can tell that the waitress was not a barista).
Overall we enjoy our dinner (as other reviewers have said, the snapper was very good). I have the feeling that not only this restaurant but most of the restaurants at the Spot have dropped their quality and become more expensive. At least for me, I think we have better choices in Coogge, Clovelly and Randwick.
