Food  10      Ambience  9      Service  10      Value  9

A friend and I went to Rumi on Sat night and we couldn't fault it. The food was superb, the service was excellent, the waitresses were run off their feet yet still had time to go over the menu with us and keep our drinks topped up, and were incredibly helpful. And it wasn't too pricey for what we had, which was alot! So many good choices we couldn't decide so ordered extra plates (one main, 5 tapas, 3 champagnes, 3 red wines, bottle of mineral water, 2 desserts and 2 tea = $150 - well priced considering the service and quality of food. I don't see how anyone can complain of the price).

But we were very full and had to take our desserts home. To everyone who complains about the size of the dishes, do you not know what tapas is? Small plates for sharing, its ideal as you get to try lots of dishes. Everything we had was exceptional and was served in a well-planned order. The decor is also lovely and we didn't find it noisy (although there were no particularly large groups there). I can't stop raving about it and will definitely go again.

Went to Habayib last night with 10 friends and had the mezze banquet. The food was delicious, the staff friendly and the place has a nice welcoming and warm atmostphere. But, whereas the food was really tasty, we didn't think it was worth the $30 for this particular banquet. My friends were surprised when the food stopped coming out and were waiting for dessert and coffee but it wasn't included.

Although we had enough food to be full enough, it wasn't quite worth the cost. Also the food all came out really quickly so we'd finished eating within half an hour of sitting down! I was surprised at the other reviews on this site talking about generous serves and it makes me wonder if anything has changed due to them getting good reviews. In saying that, I'd be willing to give it another try because the food was great.
